Call for Applications: Baku Summer Energy School 2019

Dear Students,

ADA University Executive Education together with the Caspian Center for Energy and Environment (CCEE) are calling for applications for the 13th Annual Baku Summer Energy School (BSES 2019).

 

Baku Summer Energy School is an annual two-week certificate program for energy professionals, organized in partnership with the State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) and BP Azerbaijan. The BSES brings together world-renowned scholars, academicians and policy makers to examine and gain a better understanding of global energy and environment issues and their practical application. 

 

BSES 2019 will take place on July 6-20, 2019. The application process is open till May 1. Please find enclosed BSES 2019 announcement and tentative program. Online application form is available here.

Summer School at Campus Jindrichuv Hradec - August 2019

Dear Students,

We are happy to offer you places in our newly launched Marketing Inspiration Summer School 2019 at the VSE Campus in the town of Jindrichuv Hradec.

The Summer School aims to provide in-depth knowledge and skills in the given field as well as the opportunity to be a part of an international event with students from all around the world. The Buddy Programme gives the participants a unique touch with the local community.

The academic part of the Summer School offers two courses in two weeks (amounting to 6 ECTS) for each of the participants. The courses can be chosen from a given portfolio. The social part of the Summer School consists of many extracurricular activities focused on the Czech culture and locations worth visiting in the Czech Republic.

The Campus Jindrichuv Hradec itself is located outside the capital - in a beautiful South Bohemian town of Jindrichuv Hradec (160 km south from Prague). The Campus is housed in modern, yet cosy premises. The Library and the friendly atmosphere are considered the biggest advantages of the Campus, giving the students a unique experience of the combination of studies at a renowned Czech university and the enchanting spirit of the town of Jindrichuv Hradec.

The Hague Summer School 2019

Dear Students,

As we highly value our partnership with your university, we would like to notify you that The Hague Summer School is open for applications.

To show our appreciation, we would like to offer your students a €100,- discount per two weeks!

This year, The Hague Summer School takes place from 1 until 26 July 2019. Of course, the modules take place in The Hague, the international city of peace and justice. Your students can stay 2 weeks (€100 discount) or 4 weeks (€200 discount).


Work on ‘wicked’ problems around the global goals for sustainable development
All offered modules in The Hague Summer School are linked to the UN Sustainable Development Goals, a set of global goals that aim to make our planet fair, healthy and sustainable by 2030. So, do your students want to make a difference in the world’s biggest issues? Are they interested in exploring the global issues from an interdisciplinary perspective?

You can find our programme on our website. Your students could be exploring these ‘wicked’ problems through the eyes of an engineer, a social scientist, an entrepreneur or a human rights professional.

Two or four weeks
The Hague Summer School is a modular course composed of general and elective modules. Your students can choose to study for a two or four week period. The two-week summer course consists of a general module in the morning and an elective module of their choice in the afternoon. The first period takes place from July 1st through 12th and the second from July 15th through 26th. The four-week summer course consists of two general modules and two electives respectively and is run from July 1st through 26th.

Location
The Hague is the most international city of the Netherlands. It is known as the United Nations City of Peace, Justice and Security. Thousands of people are working towards a better world together with 131 international institutions, 80 justice organisations, 300 international businesses and many NGO's. The Hague University of Applied Sciences is located right in the heart of The Hague, so the students will get an all-round cultural experience - from idyllic beaches to shopping in the city centre and from numerous museums and galleries to buzzing nightclubs.

 

How to get the discount

In order for your students to receive the discount, they only need to show proof of enrollment at your institution when applying through our online system. You can apply directly here.

Your students pay only €1650,- for two weeks and €3200,- for four weeks!

This fee will cover accommodation, cultural visits, social programme and lunch. Please take into account that this price does not include travel costs to and from The Netherlands. Every student has to arrange adequate insurance for their stay in The Hague.

Universidad del Pacífico Summer Courses in Lima, Peru

Dear Students,

NTU Global Summer School 2019

 Dear Students,

We would like to share some information with you about Nottingham Trent University's summer school, which is perfect for students who want to immerse themselves in British culture whilst participating in one or more of our exciting short courses especially designed for International students.

The Finance Boot Camp 2019

Dear Partners,

Today we have some exciting news on our summer school The Finance Boot Camp 2019:

This two-week programme will take place from 8th to 19th July 2019 which means arrival in Frankfurt on Sunday 7th July and departure on Saturday 20th July 2019. During this time accommodation (two-bed-rooms in a hotel) is covered for the students.

Your students will get the usual 25% partner discount.

For the very first time this year, Frankfurt School is excited to offer DAAD-funding opportunities* for summer school students:

1.       Travel costs: International students may receive a travel grant.  The final award amount will depend on the country (range 200€-1,550€)

2.       Accommodation costs: International students may receive a subsidy for their stay in Frankfurt during the summer school, in total up to 500€ reduction of the overall course fee.

For partner universities: Please recommend pre-selected students for the grants

 

How to apply/criteria:

Students who wish to apply for the summer school can do so by filling in the registration form found on our website (https://www.frankfurt-school.de/home/international-advisory-services/summer-school). In addition to the online registration form, the following criteria need to be met:

- Eligible student status (Bachelor or Master or MBA)

- Average academic performance of 80% or the equivalent GPA

- Submission of the student´s transcripts of records

- Submission of a short motivation letter on why the student wishes to attend the Finance Boot Camp

WFI International Summer School „Firms in Society“ 2019: Ingolstadt - July 29 - August 9, 2019 / Up to 10 ECTS points

Dear Students,

Katholische Universität Eichstätt-Ingolstadt offers first two  Kozminski students The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) scholarship, covering a 100% tuition waiver as well as a 500€ grant for travelling expenses!

WFI International Summer School „Firms in Society“ 2019: Ingolstadt - July 29 - August 9, 2019 / Up to 10 ECTS points

Students attend high-class courses on the role of firms in society, experience real world business insights with entrepreneurial champions, gain a deeper insight into German and especially Bavarian culture and visit famous Neuschwanstein Castle.

Part of the program are several firm visits (AUDI, LEDvance, Bauer Group, brigk). Prof. Jennifer Brown from the prestigious David Eccles School of Business will give a keynote on The Economics of (Mis)behavior.

The WFI Summer School focuses on Master students but each time we have accepted a few very good advanced Bachelor students. The required language level in English is B2. Students can obtain up to 10 ECTS points (4 modules at 2,5 ECTS points each).  The module descriptions of the summer school courses will be published in spring.
