Kozminski's Executive MBA students in leading business schools around the world

05.01.2021

Kozminski University has joined the group of leading business schools in the world, forming the EMBA - Executive MBA Consortium for Global Business Innovation. Students and graduates of Kozminski University’s Executive MBA program can take part in the program e.g. in Japan, Silicon Valley in the USA, Brazil or South Africa.

- Participants of the Consortium are required to organize a residential week for students and graduates of partner universities. The first exchange is planned for September 2021. At that time, EMBA students from the participating institutions will go to other countries to study in small groups (3-4 people each), so that they can fully experience the local academic, scientific and business life. The exchange is carried out within the scope of the tuition fees paid at the home university, and students pay only the travel and accommodation expenses in other countries - explains Sylwia Hałas-Dej, Director of Kozminski Executive Business School. - Through meetings with students and managers from other countries, discussions with academics and business practitioners from all over the world, KU's Executive MBA students will gain unique experience and gain a global perspective which will be essential for economies returning to normal after last year's turmoil.

The EMBA Consortium has been operating for more than 10 years and consists of 12 carefully selected business schools from around the world. These are: Bologna Business School (Italy), The COPPEAD Graduate School of Business (Brazil), Cranfield School of Management (UK), The Chapman Graduate School of Business (USA), ESAN Business School (Peru), Keio Business School (Japan), Moscow International Higher Business School (Russia), Sabanci School of Management (Turkey), The Lucas Graduate School of Business (USA), The University of Stellenbosch Business School (South Africa), Munich Business School (Germany) and Kozminski University (Poland).

- Kozminski University joining the Consortium serves primarily to increase the managerial competence of our Executive MBA students, who learn the secrets of international business with similar leaders at the best business schools in the world. Our participation in this elite group also serves to further internationalize our Executive MBA program. It already has a strong position in the "Financial Times" ranking. In 2020 it was ranked 63rd in the world, but we have the ambition to reach much higher. Currently, MBA students take part in a week-long exchange with our strategic partner ESCP Business School. Now there will be more such opportunities - explains Prof. Grzegorz Mazurek, Rector of KU.

- We are glad that KU joins our consortium, thanks to which every year a large group of managers from all around the world will learn the secrets of building success in Poland and Central and Eastern Europe. On the other hand, managers studying on the Kozminski Executive MBA program will be able to gain business experience in one of the 11 partner schools campuses worldwide. It is worth emphasizing that the Executive MBA Consortium is more than just an international exchange for top managers - said Jose R. de la Torre, Chair of the Council of EMBA Consortium. - It is also a global development of educational programs at the MBA level, exchange of experience between universities - leaders of its respective regions, and above all, it is a great value for managers who need the best global support, especially in such difficult times.

Part of the courses at the partner campuses abroad is a proven way to gain an intercultural context for the knowledge gained and to establish contacts with students from around the world. Kozminski's Executive MBA students have the opportunity to participate in the program already in the autumn of 2021. It is important to note that this opportunity will also be available to recent graduates of the EMBA program at Kozminski University. It is a significant added value for the whole Kozminski Executive MBA community, the best management education program in Central and Eastern Europe.
