Program structure

The process leading to the achievement of learning outcomes assumes the realisation by students of the following classes: general, basic, directional and general classes. Each group contains both obligatory classes as well as optional classes that can be chosen by the student according to the rules specified in the programme. Students interested in taking part in an international exchange programme, after obtaining the Rector's consent for an Individual Study Organisation (IOS), have the possibility to realise part of the study programme at other universities.

The courses to be taken by the student at the partner university, as well as the conditions, time limits and manner in which the student will make up any curriculum differences resulting from the study programme, require the consent of the Rector.       In the group of general classes, the student chooses foreign languages and physical education classes. Classes in the first foreign language are held in semesters I-IV, while classes in the second foreign language are held in semesters I-III. Students choose their second foreign language before the start of semester I from the following: Spanish, German, Chinese, French. In this group of classes, each student also chooses one of two classes in semester I1: professional communication or social communication. In the group of directional classes, each student in semester IV chooses one of the two classes human capital management or organisational well-being, and in semester V chooses one of the following classes: media monitoring or data mining and business law or media law. In this group of classes, the student also chooses a professional practice and a diploma workshop. The diploma workshop is taken in semester VI and students select a particular workshop in semester V on the basis of the available catalogue of subject areas in the course of study. In the group of general university classes, there are two conversation classes in English and an elective subject from the area of humanities. The student chooses one seminar in English in semester V and one in semester VI, as well as a subject from the humanities (semester VI) from the list of classes offered in the study programme or from the offer adopted by the Senate of the Academy (which takes into account trends in the economy and the needs of the labour market). Within the framework of elective courses, a student may also participate in classes conducted at the university within the framework of other fields of study, provided that he/she completes the prerequisites for these classes and obtains the required number of ECTS credits.
