Kozminski University is a higher education institution engaged in extensive scientific activities in many fields of social, economic, and legal sciences. Employees affiliated with KU are offered individual support and opportunities of comprehensive development of their scientific careers through being conferred subsequent degrees and participating in prestigious conferences and research projects.
We carry out research projects making use of grants provided by the National Center for Research and Development, the National Science Center, public and private sponsors, and our own funds. Among the dozens of ongoing research projects, there is no shortage of interdisciplinary, intercollegiate, and international ones. The Kozminski University publishing house has been operating since 1996. It publishes academic textbooks and monographs written by academics. We work with publishers such as Wolters Kluwer Polska, Wydawnictwo Poltext, Wydawnictwo Naukowe Scholar, which guarantee reliable editing and proofreading services. We published several listed scored scientific journals which make their content available to the broad public.
Our university organizes around one hundred scientific conferences and seminars per year, more than half of which are held in collaboration with other universities and scientific institutions (from both Poland and abroad). They act as an effective channel of exchange of information, providing an opportunity to disseminate research results in the form of post-conference monographs and publications presenting the results of the conducted research projects. The conferences organized at KU are attended by world-famous economists, management gurus, and Nobel prizewinners – such as: Robert Mundell, Vito Tanzi, D. Mario Nuti, Janos Kornai, or Hermann Simon.
Kozminski University obtains the right to confer doctoral degrees in four disciplines: Management and Quality Science, Economics and Finance, Legal and Sociological Science, and the right to confer habilitation degrees in the discipline of Management and Quality Science, Economics and Finance and Legal Studies.
There are 22 departments, 23 divisions, and 20 independent research centers operating at the university. These units coordinate scientific activity within the framework of separate specific research areas comprising broader scientific disciplines. They organize seminars and scientific conferences as well as participate in the world network of science.
