in social sciences in the discipline of economics and finance – since 2011
in social sciences in the discipline of legal sciences – since 2016

Doctoral qualifications

KOZMINSKI UNIVERSITY HAS THE RIGHT TO CONFER DOCTORAL DEGREES IN THE FOLLOWING DISCIPLINES:

in social sciences in the discipline of management and quality sciences – since 1998
in social sciences in the discipline of economics and finance (economics – since 2008, finance – since 2013)
in social sciences in the discipline of legal sciences – since 2009

Categories of scientific disciplines

As a result of the recent evaluation of the quality of scientific activity, our University has received the following categories:

in the discipline of management and quality sciences: A
in the discipline of economics and finance: B+
in the discipline of legal sciences: B+

(highest category A+, lowest C)

With a minimum B+ category, a university has the right, among others • to conduct studies in a given discipline of science without applying for the Minister's approval, • to confer academic degrees, • to run a doctoral school, • to submit candidates to the Science Evaluation Committee.
