Prof. Aleksandra Przegalińska has been appointed by Prime Minister Donald Tusk to the newly established Council of the Future, a body tasked with advising the Polish government on strategic areas of technological and economic development. The Council brings together experts from academia, business, and emerging technologies, and its work is intended to support public policies in key sectors such as artificial intelligence, biotechnology, space technologies, and the modern defence industry.
Members of the Council have extensive experience in bridging academic research with business practice, which is expected to facilitate the development of evidence-based recommendations for public administration. The work of the Council will be chaired by the Minister of Finance and Economy, Andrzej Domański.
Prof. Aleksandra Przegalińska, Vice-Rector for Innovation and AI at Kozminski University in Warsaw, is one of the few representatives of the academic community appointed to the Council of the Future. Her nomination highlights the important role of science and research in shaping forward-looking solutions for Poland.
The establishment of the Council of the Future forms part of the Polish government’s political strategy for 2026, aimed at accelerating the country’s development by actively involving scientists and experts in legislative and advisory processes.
