Kozminski University has become the official publisher of one of the most important Polish academic journals in the field of marketing – “Marketing i Rynek”, published continuously since 1994. The transfer of publishing rights follows a decision by the previous publisher, Polskie Wydawnictwo Ekonomiczne, which proposed that Kozminski University take over the journal, pointing to the University’s organisational, academic, and international potential, as well as its experience in managing highly regarded scholarly periodicals.
A new stage in the journal’s development
For over three decades, “Marketing i Rynek” has played an important role in the development of Polish marketing scholarship. Its pages feature publications by recognised researchers and market experts, and all articles undergo rigorous peer-review procedures conducted in line with the highest ethical standards.
Kozminski University’s appointment as publisher opens a new chapter in the journal’s history. Kozminski University – an institution holding the Triple Crown accreditations (EQUIS, AACSB, AMBA) and publishing internationally recognised, indexed journals, including the Central European Management Journal and “Krytyka Prawa”- will support the professionalisation of editorial processes and an intensive internationalisation strategy for “Marketing i Rynek”. In 2026, a series of initiatives was launched to enhance the journal’s quality and visibility, focused on raising editorial standards and expanding the reach of published research.
Editorial leadership, Scientific Council, and publishing model
The Editors-in-Chief of “Marketing i Rynek” are Prof. Grzegorz Mazurek, Rector of Kozminski University, an expert in marketing and digital transformation, Vice President of EFMD, and a member of the EQUIS Accreditation Board and the International Advisory Board of ISC Paris; and Prof. Edyta Rudawska, an outstanding marketing scholar from the University of Szczecin, Vice President of the Polish Scientific Society of Marketing, and an expert for institutions such as the National Science Centre (NCN), the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA), and the Italian Ministry of Education, Universities and Research (MIUR).
The composition of the Scientific Council has also been expanded, strengthening its international profile. New members include distinguished scholars such as Prof. Andreas Kaplan, Prof. Małgorzata Karpińska-Krakowiak, Prof. Magdalena Grębosz-Krawczyk, Prof. Radosław Mącik, and Prof. Grzegorz Leszczyński.
“Marketing i Rynek” will be published in the diamond open access model, ensuring full, free access to content for both authors and readers via the Kozminski University Repository. The editorial process is managed through ScholarOne Manuscripts, a system used by leading academic publishers.
The mission of the new publisher is to maintain “Marketing i Rynek” as an important platform supporting the development of Polish marketing research, while at the same time strengthening the journal’s global recognition. Publications in both Polish and English are intended to support early-career researchers as well as authors from abroad, reinforcing the international circulation of ideas and research outcomes in the field of marketing.
