A team of Kozminski University students won the Local Champion title in the local final of the CFA Institute Research Challenge for Poland and the Baltic countries. The final took place on 26 February 2026 in Warsaw, on the trading floor of the Warsaw Stock Exchange (GPW).
This year’s edition of the competition – marked with the jubilee “20 years” logo – confirms that hands-on analytical skills, working with real market data, and the ability to defend an investment recommendation in front of an expert panel are among Kozminski University students’ key strengths. As part of the local final, the top teams prepared an analysis and valuation of cyber_Folks Group, listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange, and then presented their conclusions to a panel of financial market professionals.
The winning Kozminski University team consisted of Anna Blavt, Aleks Rydlewski, Maksym Koshchuk, Julia Woźnica, and Wiktor Kokociński. They were supported by Industry Mentor Łukasz Sadej (PwC), Faculty Advisor Marek Panfil, and Piotr Adamczyk.
With this victory, the Kozminski University team advanced to the next stage of the competition: EMEA (Europe, Middle East & Africa). Second place went to the team from the University of Lodz, and third placeto the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń. Teams from the University of Warsaw and the University of Gdansk also competed in the final.
The CFA Institute Research Challenge is a globally recognised competition for aspiring analysts, valued by employers in the investment industry. Its purpose is to develop skills in company analysis and valuation, as well as professional presentation of investment recommendations. Teams work on their report under the guidance of a university faculty advisor and an industry mentor, following a process closely aligned with real-world analyst work on the market side.
