On 24 April 2024, an event was held as part of the European Union Week 2024 - 'New Energy in the New World'.
The meeting was opened by the Rector, Professor Grzegorz Mazurek. In turn, the history of the founding of the European Union was introduced to the numerous guests gathered by Prof. Joachim Henkel, Vice Dean for Research at the Faculty of Management of the Technical University of Munich and initiator of the EU Week event.
Another highlight of the meeting was a keynote speech by Dr Michał Kurtyka, Director of the Interdisciplinary Research Centre on Energy Transition ‘Energy for a new world’. During his speech, Dr Kurtyka gave an overview of the history of energy and fuels, and pointed out the problem of greenhouse gas emissions. Furthermore, he touched upon issues related to the future of Europe.
The European Union Week is organised jointly with TUM School of Management, HEC Paris, HEC Débats, Estonian Business School, RSM Rotterdam School of Management, Vlerick Business School, POLIMI Graduate School of Management and Kozminski University.
