Selection of Prof. Dominika Latusek-Jurczak to the Global Young Academy

Prof. Dominika Latusek-Jurczak, Head of the Department of Management and the Center for Trust Research at our University, has been appointed a member of the Global Young Academy (GYA), for the term from June 2022 to May 2027.

The GYA is an international academy for young scholars. Current members (of which there can only be 200) come from 69 countries and are engaged in natural sciences, humanities and arts research. Candidates are selected on the basis of outstanding scientific achievement and commitment to improving science and its links to society. Each member is appointed for a five-year term, with only 30-40 positions available each year (selected from around 400 candidates). Prof. Latusek-Jurczak is therefore one of the few people from all over the world who have been selected from excellent candidates.

As a GYA member, Prof. Latusek-Jurczak will have the opportunity to establish new research collaborations, further develop her leadership and communication skills, learn about different cultures and contribute to the work of the GYA.

GYA members engage in international collaborations to influence international science policy, issue impact statements and advice, and conduct innovative interdisciplinary research.

We warmly congratulate the Professor on this achievement.
