Our University confidently won the general classification.
113 women and 264 men appeared at the starting line of the competition in Upper Silesia. The representatives of our University took the following places:
- 1st place - Anna Kubicka
- 3rd place - Oliwia Kiołbasa
- 1st place - Igor Janik
- 2nd place - Jakub Fus
Moreover, Kozminski University was ranked first in the category:
- team tournament
- general classification
- Even if you're a good player, you have to be right in the tournament, because one defeat eliminates you from the chance to get the first place" says Igor Janik, competing for the third time in AMP in chess.
- In my opinion, this championship was heavily competitive. I don't remember any edition when all the players in the top ten had a similar number of points. The fight was evenly matched, fierce and until the last game I was not sure of the gold," says Anna Kubicka.
