Agreement on establishing the Coalition to support the development of the WorldSkills initiative and the organization of the EuroSkills 2023 competition in Poland

On March 31st, 2022, Kozminski University signed an agreement establishing the Coalition for supporting the development of the WorldSkills initiative and the organization of the EuroSkills 2023 competition in Poland.

Apart from KU, the signatories of the agreement are: Foundation for the Development of the Education System - National Agency for the Erasmus+ program, the initiator of the cooperation, and the following universities:

  • Lublin University of Technology
  • Cracow University of Technology
  • Warsaw University of Technology
  • Lodz University of Technology
  • Poznań University of Life Sciences

WorldSkills is an initiative encouraging young people to improve their professional skills through the prestigious international competitions WorldSkills and EuroSkills. 30 countries from Europe (EuroSkills) and 85 countries in the global edition (WorldSkills) take part in the competitions. These are the largest competitions of its kind in the world.

Joining the Coalition means promoting and supporting the WorldSkills initiative in the form of expert and content-related support, adequate to the specialization of the university, and the possibility for the contestants to use available teaching infrastructure resources in preparation for the competition.

Currently, the Polish team is preparing to participate in the WorldSkills world competition, which will be held in Shanghai in October, 2022 in 63 competitions with the participation of contestants and experts from 85 countries. The national team will take part in 20 professional disciplines, including competitions related to modern technologies: mechatronics, industry 4.0, cyber security, cloud computing, among others.

The agreement on the Coalition was signed on behalf of our University by Rector Prof. Grzegorz Mazurek during the conference "Foreign students in Poland".
