The School of Law is an organizational unit of the University conducting research and teaching activities in the field of law and related disciplines. The functioning of the School is grounded in the potential of its academic staff—who possess significant scientific and didactic experience—as well as systematically developed research activities and cooperation with the socio-economic environment. Faculty members deliver high-quality education, participate in domestic and international research projects, engage in expert consultancy, and collaborate with public institutions, the judiciary, law firms, non-governmental organizations, and private sector entities.

Scientific research in law and related sciences is conducted within departments, units, and research centers. These entities develop new research directions and take measures to involve students in scientific and project activities. School of Law faculty participate in research networks, project consortia, and scientific initiatives, while also promoting the transfer of knowledge and research results into legal, economic, and administrative practice. Research findings are utilized in the review of legislative acts, the formulation of regulatory recommendations, and the support of decision-making processes in both the public and private sectors.

Faculty

Classes are conducted by distinguished Polish and foreign scholars as well as experienced legal practitioners. The faculty includes judges of the Supreme Court, the Supreme Administrative Court, and common courts; arbitrators of arbitration and mediation tribunals (including UNCITRAL, the Vienna International Arbitral Centre, and the International Chamber of Commerce Court of International Arbitration); advocates, attorneys-at-law, notaries, prosecutors, bailiffs, bankruptcy trustees, and corporate lawyers. The staff also comprises the President and Vice-President of the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO), as well as experts serving in the Senate Analysis and Petitions Office, the Sejm Bureau of Research, the Constitutional Tribunal, the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAN), the Ministry of Justice, the Research and Academic Computer Network (NASK), the Polish Space Agency (specifically regarding space insurance), the Polish Chamber of Commerce (KIG), the Polish Football Association (PZPN), and others.

The curriculum is further enriched by visiting professors - renowned academics and practitioners from the United States and Europe - who bring an international perspective and years of academic experience to the classroom.

The research and teaching staff of the School of Law represents the highest substantive level, providing students with a comprehensive view of every field of law - from both theoretical and practical angles. Classes are taught by lecturers who combine academic activity with active legal practice, expert and advisory roles, or public service functions. As a result, students have the opportunity to familiarize themselves with current problems regarding the interpretation and application of law, analyzed from various professional perspectives.

Research Activity

A vital component of the School of Law's operations is scientific research conducted within domestic and international research projects and grants, funded, among others, by domestic and European resources. Academic staff are authors and co-authors of numerous monographs, commentaries, scientific articles, and legal expert reports published in Poland and abroad. The School publishes the scientific journal "Krytyka Prawa. Niezależne Studia nad Prawem" (Critique of Law. Independent Legal Studies), listed in Journal Citation Reports, indexed in Scopus and Web of Science (ESCI), and published under the Diamond Open Access model.

School of Law academic staff actively participate in scientific life, sitting on editorial boards and scientific councils of leading legal journals, such as: Przegląd Ustawodawstwa Gospodarczego, Państwo i Prawo, Praca i Zabezpieczenie Społeczne, Polish Yearbook of International Law, International Journal of Forensic Jurisprudence and Medical Jurisprudence, Nowa Currenda, Problemy Prawa Prywatnego Międzynarodowego, Europejski Przegląd Sądowy, and Cybersecurity and Law.

Leading lecturers

Grzelak A., dr hab.
Prof. Agnieszka Grzelak

Professor at the Department of International Law and EU Law at Kozminski University, advocate, and specialist in European Union law, human rights protection, personal data protection, and access to public information.

Since 2024, she has served as the Deputy President of the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO). For years, she has held expert positions in public administration bodies, including the Office of the Committee for European Integration (2004–2009), the Bureau of Research at the Sejm (2009–2015), the Office of the Commissioner for Human Rights (2015–2019), and the Research and Analysis Office of the Supreme Court (2019–2024). She is a member of advisory teams, including the EU Law Team at the Ministry of Justice and the Committee of Experts on Human Rights Compliance in the Activities of Special Services at the Commissioner for Human Rights.

She is a member of the Scientific Council of the Data Protection Officers' Association (SABI) and the expert corps of the National Science Centre (NCN). She lectures for bar training (advocate and attorney-at-law trainees) and postgraduate studies at Kozminski University and the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAN). She is an active participant in scientific communities, including as a member of the Polish Association of European Law.

She is the author, co-author, and editor of numerous scientific publications, as well as a head and contractor in research projects funded by the NCN and other grant institutions. She has received awards for her research achievements and publications.

Prof. Łukasz Gruszczyński

Professor, Head of the Department of International Law and EU Law at Kozminski University, attorney-at-law, and specialist in international economic law and international public health law.

He obtained his PhD from the European University Institute in Florence and his habilitation (DSc) from the Institute of Law Studies of the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAN). In 2025, he received the title of Full Professor. He has completed numerous international research fellowships, including at the University of Cambridge, the University of Michigan, Péter Pázmány Catholic University, and the National University of Public Service. He is a winner of six National Science Centre competitions and currently supervises a research project under the Preludium Bis program. He cooperates on a permanent basis with the Institute for Legal Studies within the Centre for Social Sciences at ELTE in Budapest.

He holds a number of prestigious expert and international functions, including: member of the Legal Advisory Committee to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, EU arbitrator for Trade and Sustainable Development (TSD) in trade disputes conducted under bilateral free trade agreements, representative of Poland in the High Council of the European University Institute, and member of the ILA Committee on International Law and Public Health.

He is the author of numerous monographs, including those published by Oxford University Press, and articles in leading international scientific journals. He is the co-author (with M. Menkes) of the only textbook on international economic law available on the Polish market. He also serves as the Managing Editor of the English-language annual Polish Yearbook of International Law.

prof. Nowak
Prof. Bartłomiej Nowak

Professor at Kozminski University in the Department of International Law and EU Law, Dean of the School of Law, and Vice-Rector for Infrastructure and Administration. He is a specialist in public economic law, the law and policy of natural resources, and European Union law.

He graduated in Law from the University of Warsaw and in Management from Kozminski University. He obtained his PhD in legal sciences from the European University Institute in Florence and his habilitation from the Institute of Law Studies of the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAN). At KU, he served as Vice-Rector for Economic and Social Studies (2015–2020) and subsequently as Vice-Rector for Cooperation with the Environment (2020–2025).

As part of his expert and managerial activities, he is/was an advisor to the President of the Republic of Poland, the President of the Energy Regulatory Office (URE), an expert at the European Commission's Directorate-General for Energy and Transport (DG TREN), and President of the Management Board of Polskie Wydawnictwo Ekonomiczne S.A. He has held positions in supervisory bodies, including Chairman of the Supervisory Board of PGNiG S.A., and member of the supervisory boards of PTE WARTA S.A., PGNiG OD sp. z o.o., Europol Gaz sp. z o.o., Koźmiński Business Hub sp. z o.o., and PWE S.A.

He is the Editor-in-Chief of the monthly Przegląd Ustawodawstwa Gospodarczego, a member of editorial boards of several scientific journals, and an active participant in scientific and expert life in the fields of EU law, economic law, and sector regulations, particularly in infrastructure markets. He is the author of numerous scientific publications in domestic and international journals devoted to, among other things, energy market liberalization, EU energy policy, and energy security.

Prof. ALK dr hab. Monika Całkiewicz
Prof. Monika Całkiewicz

Professor at Kozminski University, Head of the Department of Criminal Law, attorney-at-law, former prosecutor, and specialist in criminal law, forensic science, and criminology.
In competitions organized by the Prof. Tadeusz Hanausek Polish Forensic Association, she received awards for the best doctoral dissertation (2004) and the best habilitation dissertation (2012) in the field of forensic science. She completed an internship at the Max Planck Institute in Germany (2009, 2010). From 2002 to 2011, she served as an assessor and subsequently as a prosecutor at the District Prosecutor's Office in Warsaw-Mokotów.
She served as Vice-Rector for Law Studies (2012–2020). From 2016 to 2020, she was the Vice-Dean of the Council of the District Chamber of Attorneys-at-Law in Warsaw, and from 2020 to 2024, she served as the Dean of that Council. She is a member of the Working Group for the Preparation of Assumptions for the Act on Expert Witnesses at the Ministry of Justice and has been a member of the Polish Forensic Association since 2004. In 2020, she was appointed to the Board of Editors of the International Association of Law Schools.
She is the originator and scriptwriter of the educational game "Virtual Crime Scene Investigation" - one of the world's first VR simulations for examining a crime scene. For this project, she received the KU Rector's Award for Didactic Innovations (2017) and the LUMEN Award (2019) in the Development category. She also authors scripts for immersive VR films and numerous podcasts on criminal procedure. She is the author of scientific articles, book chapters, and monographs, including Modus operandi of Homicide Perpetrators, Forensic Examination of Pathological Handwriting, and Examination of the Corpse and the Place of Discovery.

Prof. Przemysław Drapała

Professor at Kozminski University, Head of the Department of Civil Law, attorney-at-law, and specialist in civil law, commercial law, public procurement, litigation, and arbitration. He is the author of over 100 publications (in Poland and abroad) on civil and commercial law, co-author (along with Supreme Court judges) of the Civil Code Commentary, and co-author of the System of Private Law (volumes 5, 6, 7). He is a two-time scholarship holder of the Max-Planck-Institut für ausländisches und internationales Privatrecht in Hamburg.
He has been involved in legal practice for over 20 years. Managing Partner at JDP Drapała & Partners. Repeatedly recognized in international legal rankings (Chambers & Partners Global, LEGAL 500 Europe) in categories such as Construction (Leading Individual in Poland), Dispute Resolution, and Arbitration. He serves as an arbitrator in domestic and international arbitration proceedings (ICC, DIS, KIG, Lewiatan), Chairman of the Arbitration Court Committee at the District Chamber of Attorneys-at-Law in Warsaw, and Chairman of the Expert Group on Law and Legislation of the Polish Association of Construction Employers (PZPB). He actively participates in legislative work as a member of teams within the Civil Law Codification Commission. He is a long-standing Member of the Board of the Court of Arbitration at the Polish-German Chamber of Industry and Commerce, a member of the Public Procurement Council at the President of the Public Procurement Office (until 2024), and a member of ICC Poland, DIS, the Society of Construction Law International, and the Polish Association of Arbitration.

Prof. Katarzyna Chałubińska-Jentkiewicz

Professor, Head of the Division of Intellectual Property Law and New Technologies at Kozminski University, and attorney-at-law. She specializes in legal regulations concerning digital media, cybersecurity, information security threats, intellectual property protection, digitization processes, and the impact of new technologies on state development and the legal status of the individual.
Director of the Domain Registry at NASK National Research Institute. From 1996 to 2010, she worked as a lawyer at institutions including the National Broadcasting Council, Telewizja Polsat S.A., and TVP S.A. From 2011 to 2018, she was Deputy Director of the National Audiovisual Institute. A long-time researcher at the National Defence University and the War Studies University, and until 2024, Director of the Academic Centre for Cybersecurity Policy. She served as a member of the Council for Digitalization for three terms and a member of the Security and Defence Council within the National Development Council at the Chancellery of the President of the Republic of Poland.
Author and co-author of monographs and numerous articles, including titles such as: New Technology Law; Cyber-responsibility; Security, Privacy, Identity; Protection of Information in Cyberspace; Personal Data Protection in Cyberspace; Information Security Law; Audiovisual Media: Regulatory Conflict in the Era of Digitization; Audiovisual Media Services: Regulation in Conditions of Digital Conversion; Information and Informatization in Public Administration; Cultural Security Law; Legal Protection of Digital Content; and Legal Boundaries of Disinformation: Between Freedom and Security.

Prof. Pierre de Gioia Carabellese

Doctor of Business, Banking, and Financial Law (University of Siena, Aldo Moro University of Bari), full professor (in England, Wales, Australia, and China). He is a lecturer at Kozminski University and the Universities of St. Andrews and Aberdeen.

Three-time recipient of the Teaching Prize for Outstanding Researcher. He is licensed as a barrister and notary in three jurisdictions: the United Kingdom (England and Scotland) and Italy. His research and teaching activities cover private and public economic law, with a particular focus on financial crimes, ESG, financial and health crises, and privacy and trust issues.

Professor Pierre de Gioia Carabellese is the author of numerous international publications, including monographs published by Routledge, and practices law in Edinburgh, Leeds, and Rome.

Prof. Anna Błachnio-Parzych

Professor at Kozminski University in the Department of Criminal Law, specializing in criminal law - especially economic criminal law, comparative law, and European criminal law. Her research interests also concern the philosophy of criminal law, human rights, and selected issues of criminal procedure.
Author of monographs and numerous scientific articles in renowned domestic and international journals (including the Journal of Business Ethics, FT 50). Her works appear in both Polish and English, combining theoretical reflection with practical problems of contemporary criminal law.
Multiple scholarship holder at the Max-Planck-Institut für ausländisches und internationales Strafrecht in Freiburg im Breisgau (Germany), and scholarship holder at the University of Cambridge (Faculty of Law and the Centre for Penal Theory and Penal Ethics, Institute of Criminology, UK). She also received the Bekker Scholarship (Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange) and a scholarship under the Stars program (Università degli studi di Bergamo, Italy). Head of grants obtained in the Sonata and Sonata Bis competitions (National Science Centre). Visiting professor at the University of Toronto (Canada) and Università degli studi di Bergamo (Italy).

Prof. Artur Mudrecki

Professor, Head of the Division of Financial and Tax Law at Kozminski University, Director of the VAT Research Center, academic supervisor of the Student Tax Scientific Club, and since 1997, a judge of the Supreme Administrative Court. Specialist in tax law and tax procedure, administrative law, and administrative procedure.
Member of the Examination Commission for Tax Advisors at the Minister of Finance (2007–2022), member of the European Law Institute's European Association of Tax Law Professors (EATLP), member of the Association of the Center for Documentation of Tax in Central and Eastern Europe, member of the International Fiscal Association (IFA) Polish Branch, main organizer of the seminar cycle within the Tax Law Forum, member of the Scientific Council of Przegląd Ustawodawstwa Gospodarczego, and lecturer at the National School of Judiciary and Public Prosecution.
Author of over 170 publications and manager of projects funded by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education.

Prof. Jolanta Jabłońska-Bonca

Professor, Head of the Department of Theory, Philosophy, and History of Law at Kozminski University. Specialist in jurisprudence, theory and philosophy of law, legislation, legal rhetoric, private security protection, and higher education and science law.
Vice-Rector of the KU School of Law (2007–2011), Vice-Rector of the University of Gdańsk (1993–1997). Member of the Committee on Legal Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences (2004–2007), expert of the Polish Accreditation Committee (1996–2014), member of the Science Policy Committee at the Minister of Science and Higher Education (2014–2018), member of the Scientific Council of the Polish Federation of Detectives and the Space Law Commission at the Gdańsk Branch of the Polish Academy of Sciences (since 2018).
Laureate of many scientific awards. Editor-in-Chief of the scientific journal Critique of Law. Independent Legal Studies, and member of several scientific journal editorial boards. In 2006, she received the "Meritorious for Justice" medal, and in 2019, she was awarded the Officer's Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta. Author of many monographs, scientific articles, and numerous expert reports and opinions for state bodies and legal practice.

Prof. Joanna Studzińska

Professor at Kozminski University, Head of the Division of Civil Procedure, and attorney-at-law. Specialist in substantive and procedural civil law, alternative dispute resolution, the digitization of civil proceedings, and enforcement proceedings.
Member of the problem team of the Civil Law Codification Commission for the digitization of civil proceedings at the Ministry of Justice, and member of the Society of Civil Proceduralists. From 2013 to 2023, member of the Bureau of Research and Analysis and assistant specialist for case law in the Civil Chamber of the Supreme Court. Since 2020, Editor-in-Chief of the court bailiffs' journal Nowa Currenda. Actively cooperates with the Notarial Chamber in Warsaw, the National Council of Bailiffs and bailiff chambers, as well as the District Chambers of Attorneys-at-Law in Warsaw and Lublin regarding classes and training.
Author, co-author, and editor of numerous scientific publications. Supervisor of several doctoral dissertations resulting in the awarding of a doctoral degree. Her most important research areas are evidentiary proceedings, non-contentious proceedings, enforcement proceedings, the digitization of civil proceedings, entities in civil proceedings, and effective judicial protection in civil proceedings.

Prof. Maciej De Abgaro Zachariasiewicz

Academic teacher, Doctor of Law, KU Professor at the Department of Civil Law. Teaches classes in civil law, private international law, international contract law, and international civil procedure. He has held several research fellowships abroad, including at Columbia University in New York and the Max Planck Institute in Hamburg. Participant and principal investigator in a number of research and training projects, including those funded by the European Union.

Legal counsel. He advises clients on civil and business matters, particularly in the area of cross-border relations. Arbitrator in the Court of Arbitration at the Polish Chamber of Commerce in the Lewiatan Court of Arbitration, and in ad hoc arbitration proceedings. Nationally recognized expert in international legal transactions and commercial arbitration.

prof Jan Wawrzyniak ALK
Prof. Jan Wawrzyniak

Professor, Head of the Division of Constitutional Law at Kozminski University, specialist in fundamental constitutional principles and values, constitutional aspects of European law, the systemic evolution of Poland, as well as the Italian constitutional system and comparative law.
Former advisor to the President of the Republic of Poland and member of the Legislative Council at the Prime Minister. Awarded, among others: the Officer's Cross of Merit of the Italian Republic (1996), the Officer's Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta (2001), and the Medal of the National Education Commission (2014).
He possesses many years of international experience as a lecturer and researcher, including serving as Deputy Director for Social Sciences at the Polish Academy of Sciences Scientific Station in Rome and at universities, particularly in Italy (Rome-LUISS, Universities of Sassari, Teramo, Cagliari). He has conducted research in France, Italy, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, and Russia.
He is a member of the editorial board of the yearbook Toruńskie Studia Polsko-Włoskie and a member of the program council of the quarterly Przegląd Konstytucyjny. Author of scientific publications in constitutional and comparative law, devoted to, among other things, constitutional principles, the systemic evolution of Poland, and the constitutional systems of European states. His achievements include both theoretical works and analyses of significant importance for systemic practice.

Katarzyna Malinowska
Prof. Katarzyna Malinowska

Professor at Kozminski University in the Department of International Law and EU Law, attorney-at-law, expert in insurance law and space law. She has many years of advisory experience in commercial insurance, cooperating with insurance intermediaries, insurers, and reinsurers in Poland and abroad.
On a daily basis, she combines professional practice with academic activity. She serves as the Director of the Center for Space Studies and the Center for Insurance Studies at Kozminski University, as well as the head of postgraduate studies in Entrepreneurship in the Space Industry and Risk and Property Insurance.
She is active in domestic and international organizations, including: the Association Internationale de Droit des Assurances (AIDA); the International Astronautical Federation; the International Institute of Space Law; the Space Entrepreneurship Institute; the International Institute of Risk Management – Committee of Enterprise Risk Management by the International Astronautical Federation; and the European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority (EIOPA). Chair of the Working Group on Polish Space Law; member/founder of the Committee on Space Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences; expert at the Polish Space Agency for Space Insurance; Board Member of the Space Entrepreneurship Institute Foundation.
She conducts research on risk management and insurance of space ventures and the legal aspects of environmental risks in outer space. She is an arbitrator in insurance and reinsurance disputes, the author of several dozen scientific publications, and a frequent speaker at domestic and international conferences.

dr Mateusz Woiński
PhD Mateusz Woiński

Assistant Professor in the Department of Criminal Law at Kozminski University, attorney-at-law, focuses on substantive and procedural criminal law, legal aspects of professional and disciplinary liability, as well as hate speech and hate crimes. Head of the Student Legal Clinic at KU and author of the program and coordinator of Street Law classes.
Delegate to the assembly and member of the Training Committee at the District Chamber of Attorneys-at-Law in Warsaw. Representative of the National Council of Attorneys-at-Law in the Examination Commission for conducting the bar exam in Warsaw in 2024 and 2025, member of the Team for Counteracting Hate Speech and Crimes Motivated by Prejudice at the Prosecutor General's Office. From 2015 to 2020, Vice-Dean (Deputy Director) of the KU School of Law. Specialist at the Centre for Research, Studies and Legislation at the National Council of Attorneys-at-Law.
Author of monographs: Criminal Law Aspects of Combating Hate Speech (Warsaw 2014), Professional Legal Exam. Criminal Law (Warsaw 2023), and Criminal Judgment. Methodology of Avoiding and Pointing Out Errors (Warsaw 2026), as well as articles, analyses, and legal commentaries concerning contemporary problems of criminal law. He completed research internships at the Max-Planck-Institut für ausländisches und internationales Strafrecht in Freiburg im Breisgau, Germany (2011, 2017) and the Library of Congress, Washington, USA (2017).

Judge Igor Tuleya

Lecturer in the Department of Criminal Law at Kozminski University, Judge of the Regional Court in Warsaw, adjudicating in criminal cases since 1996.
He conducts classes for students covering, among other things, criminal procedure and court practice, including: Case Study – Analysis of Files in a Criminal Case, Criminal Trial, Workshop for Future Trainees, and Procedural Pleadings in Criminal Proceedings. The classes combine theoretical aspects with practice, enabling students to gain experience in analyzing procedural documents, conducting trials, and drafting court pleadings.
Laureate of the Edward J. Wende Award (2019), the Freedom of Speech Medal (2022), and the international Global Jurist of the Year award granted by Northwestern Pritzker School of Law (2024). Author of numerous publications on criminal law, including commentaries and practical elaborations.

Prof. Monika Latos-Miłkowska

Professor at Kozminski University, Head of the Division of Labor Law at Kozminski University, and attorney-at-law. She specializes in labor law issues. Her particular research interests include collective labor law, especially the legal status of company and inter-company trade union organizations, the use of artificial intelligence in employment, the protection of employee claims in the event of employer insolvency, and employee rights related to parenthood.
In her practice as an attorney-at-law, she specializes in labor law cases and advises on collective redundancy procedures, workplace mergers, the creation of internal labor law sources (collective labor agreements, work regulations, remuneration regulations, social benefits fund regulations), and negotiations in collective disputes.
She is the author of over 100 scientific publications in the field of labor law, including monographs and commentaries on key labor law acts. Professor, Head of the Department of Legal Problems of Administration and Management at Kozminski University, retired attorney-at-law, specialist in administrative law, administrative science, and banking law.
He served as Vice-President of the Institut International des Sciences Administratives in Brussels. From 1990–1991 and 1992–1994, he was Undersecretary of State in the Ministry of Ownership Transformation. Member of supervisory boards of numerous companies. He was also a lecturer and coordinator at the National School of Public Administration.
Awarded the Silver Cross of Merit for services to the development of the Polish banking and financial system (1999) and the Knight's Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta for outstanding services to the development of public administration personnel (2006).
Author of the popular textbook "Fundamentals of Law" (earlier editions: "Fundamentals of Law and Administration") and a number of other scientific publications, including those that have influenced Polish legal and administrative practice

Prof. Michał Kowalski

Professor at Kozminski University in the Division of Constitutional Law, Judge of the Supreme Administrative Court. He specializes in constitutional law and comparative law of legal systems. He has conducted lecture series and open lectures for law students in London, Brussels, Birmingham, Glasgow, The Hague, Rome, and Dortmund.
Since 2018, he has served as the Secretary of the Chapter and one of the reviewers for the competition for the best master's and doctoral thesis established by the President of the Supreme Administrative Court. Co-creator and organizer of a program popularizing administrative judiciary among Polish and foreign law students (within the ERASMUS program) and high school students ("Lesson in Court" program), the Night of Museums at the Supreme Administrative Court, as well as a moot court program for high school youth. Every year, he engages charitably in collecting donations for Poles in the East.
He is the author and co-author of several dozen scientific publications, including scientific monographs, an academic textbook, and commentaries. Within the framework of popularizing administrative court case law, he has published over 200 texts in Dziennik Gazeta Prawna and Rzeczpospolita.

prof. ALK dr hab. Konrad Zacharzewski
Prof. Konrad Zacharzewski

Professor at Kozminski University, Head of the Division of Commercial Law and Capital Market Law at KU, advocate, court expert, specialist in commercial law, law of obligations, capital market law, securities law, banking law, digital currency and blockchain technology law, and family foundation law.
Permanent collaborator of financial institutions and specialized law firms. Since December 2018, he has served as the President of the Court of Arbitration at the Chamber of Commerce for Blockchain and New Technologies. Arbitrator at the Court of Arbitration at the Polish Power Exchange, member of the Advisory Scientific Committee at the Financial Ombudsman (2023–2026). He runs the Law Firm of Dr. Hab. Konrad Zacharzewski based in Toruń. From 2012 to 2016, Vice-Dean for Student Affairs at the Faculty of Law and Administration of Nicolaus Copernicus University.
Author of numerous scientific publications, including books and commentaries on stock exchange law, capital market law, and liability for damages of financial institutions. Author of several dozen articles on, among other things, the activities of investment firms, practical aspects of the validity of so-called deontological codes, as well as pioneering statements in Polish law on digital currencies and family foundations. PhD Joanna Buchalska

Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Law at Kozminski University, attorney-at-law, specialist in civil law and intellectual property.
Scholar at the Max Planck Institute for Innovation and Competition in Munich and at OHIM (currently EUIPO). She completed research internships at the Max Planck Institute in Hamburg and Munich.
Participant in Cost: CA19102 Language in the Human Machine Era 2020; contractor in the NCBR Gospostrateg 1 project: Potential for Development and Implementation of Vacuum Train Technology in Poland in a Social, Technical, Economic, and Legal Context. Employed at the Supreme Court since 2012 (Member of the Supreme Court Research and Analysis Office; Specialist for Case Law), on leave since 2022.
She participates in many conferences delivering papers in Poland and abroad. She has lectured at, among others, the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw and the Polish-Japanese Academy of Information Technology. Author and co-author of publications devoted to civil law and intellectual property law.
