Cooperation with the International and Domestic Environment

Cooperation with the International and Domestic Environment

The School of Law maintains active and multidimensional cooperation with domestic and international partners, which serves as a vital element in the development of its research, teaching, and organizational activities. Curricula are developed and systematically refined based on international education standards, labor market analyses, and recommendations from accrediting institutions, with the close involvement of external partners.

Concurrently, the School participates in national and international academic networks and legal organizations. This engagement fosters the exchange of knowledge and experience, the implementation of joint research projects, the internationalization of research and teaching activities, and the strengthening of cooperation between the academic community and legal practitioners.

A key aspect of our activity remains international cooperation, cultivated through membership in prestigious associations and academic networks, including the International Association of Law Schools (IALS) and the European Law Faculties Association (ELFA), as well as in specialized legal organizations such as the Association Internationale de Droit des Assurances (AIDA), Association Internationale de Droit Pénal (AIDP), the International Association of Constitutional Law (IACL), the European Society of International Law, and the European Association of Tax Law Professors (EATLP). Membership in these institutions supports the advancement of scientific research, the exchange of international experiences, and the continued internationalization of our educational offer.

International Associations

International Association of Law Schools (IALS)

An association bringing together 250 law faculties from 60 countries around the world. The School of Law participates in IALS initiatives, including cooperation with the European Law School Leaders Forum dedicated to didactic innovations, as well as research on the impact of remote teaching during the COVID-19 pandemic on student outcomes.

European Law Faculties Association (ELFA)

The School of Law actively cooperates with key legal institutions in Poland, including bar associations for advocates and attorneys-at-law, tax advisor chambers, notarial and bailiff councils, the General Counsel to the Republic of Poland, courts, and other professional self-governing bodies. This cooperation encompasses joint teaching and research projects, conferences, lectures, and student internships. The University's collaboration with the socio-economic environment plays a key role in shaping modern legal education, enabling the alignment of curricula with the real needs of the labor market and the challenges posed by the development of modern technologies and artificial intelligence.

An institutional forum for this collaboration is provided by the Consultative Council for Study Programs at the School of Law. The Council gathers representatives from legal professional circles, courts, public administration bodies, professional self-governments, corporations, law firms, and the business sector. Thanks to the Council's engagement, we pursue a concept of educating young lawyers that is grounded in established values and tradition while simultaneously enabling the acquisition of knowledge and skills that prepare graduates to practice law in diverse socio-economic conditions.
