Office for Scholarships and Students with Special Needs
Office for Scholarships and Students with Special Needs
The Office for Scholarships and Students with Disabilities supports both students who experience the effect of disability and those in a difficult life situation. It works closely with the Accessibility and Wellbeing Office, which serves as the first point of contact.
On a day-to-day basis, the Office supports individuals whose health condition limits their full participation in the educational process—both those with an official disability certificate and those without one. The team assesses the needs of students with disabilities and provides individual responses to ensure comprehensive support for anyone whose health significantly affects their ability to learn effectively.
The Office also manages the scholarship application procedures, including:
- scholarships for students with disabilities,
- social scholarships,
- the Rector’s scholarship,
- the Minister’s scholarship,
- emergency financial assistance (single grant).
We encourage all students with disabilities or in a difficult life situation to contact the Office if they wish to apply for a scholarship and/or need support in completing their studies (e.g., a sign language interpreter, a note-taking assistant/stenotypist, individual English classes, adjustments to physical education classes, etc.).
In addition, the Office staff can support students in contact with Vice-Deans. At the student’s request, Vice-Deans are the decision-makers regarding individual adjustments to the course of study for students with disabilities.
