The project entitled: "SPACE 4 TALENTS", is co-financed by the European Union, from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), within the framework of the European Urban Initiative (EUI). Its aim is to create a model for attracting and retaining talent in Stalowa Wola through the development of the space sector, in accordance with the slogan "Innovate. Share. Inspire". 

The Project Partner is the Kozminski University.

Project goal

  • Encouraging young people, academics, entrepreneurs, teachers and representatives of non-governmental organizations to actively participate in the space industry project.
  • Development of competences, talents, innovative products, startups and international cooperation in the space industry.
  • Attracting and retaining talents in Stalowa Wola - a city that aims to create a new, multidisciplinary specialization related to the space and defense industry.
  • Creating new opportunities, especially for young people, who will be able to pursue their passions and talents, e.g. by developing startups and creating innovative products.
  • Development of a new and dynamic sector of local economic activity in Stalowa Wola: the space industry, among others thanks to the creation of a new space hub with the Space Laboratory and Space Academy, which will offer access to educational spaces, prototyping and product testing.

Target groups

High school students, students, graduates, teachers, scientists, companies interested in development in the area of space technologies, as well as all people who want to develop their interests and career in the space sector, including:

  • residents of the City of Stalowa Wola;
  • city institutions and local social organizations;
  • local secondary schools and universities;
  • investors and entrepreneurs, including SMEs and start-ups interested in developing their business and implementing innovations based on the space industry;
  • neighboring cities associated within the "Czwórmiasto" (Stalowa Wola, Tarnobrzeg, Sandomierz, Nisko) and the surrounding communes forming the Urban Functional Area of Stalowa Wola (Nisko, Pysznica, Zaleszany);
  • Youth Councils of cities from the "Czwórmiasto";
  • NGOs related to the space industry.
