Assistant Professor
Olha Zadorozhna, Ph.D., is currently an Assistant Professor at Kozminski University and holds a Ph.D. degree from Bocconi University. Her research interests lie at the intersection of political, development, and financial economics. Olha has been studying the development of the land market in Ukraine publishing extensively on topics connected to clientelism in the land market and security of property rights for land. Moreover, she is currently working on several projects investigating urbanization in Poland and its impact on socio-economic outcomes (as part of GOSPOSTRATEG project). Recently, she has also started a project on evaluation of consequences of COVID-19 pandemics on micro, small and medium-sized enterprises in Poland. Finally, Olha has studied the stock market and investors’ sentiments throughout her research career and has worked on several research projects on the understanding of investors’ decisions in banking, armed conflict and terrorism related areas. In 2020, Olha has founded a Policy Implications Podcast, a show where the most recent research in economics and finance is discussed. Issues discussed on the podcast relate to, among others, immigration, gender equality, the impact of social media on politician and social life; and the guests are the researchers from top-ranked Universities and research centres from around the world.
