ISAGA Summer School (ISS) is an intensive 5-day educational programme dedicated to simulation game design and its application in research and organisational practice.
For over 25 years, ISS has brought together scholars and practitioners from around the world, offering high-quality knowledge and hands-on experience in designing, facilitating, and analysing simulation games.
About the Event
In times of rapid change and uncertainty, organisations and communities need new tools to better understand complex realities and make informed decisions. Simulation games provide an effective way to explore complex challenges, test potential solutions, and support decision-making processes.
ISAGA Summer School 2026 focuses on developing skills and knowledge in:
- representing complex systems and processes,
- designing engaging simulation games,
- applying games in research and organisational or community interventions.
During the programme, participants can focus on one of two main tracks (or combine elements of both):
Simulation Game Design and Facilitation and Simulation Games in Research
Work on Your Own Project
A key element of the programme is the opportunity to develop your own ideas and projects. Each participant works on a selected concept while receiving guidance and mentoring from experienced experts from the international simulation gaming community.
ISS Mission
The mission of ISAGA Summer School is to advance and share knowledge and practice in simulation gaming as a powerful tool for supporting change, innovation, and decision-making in organisations and communities. Participation in ISAGA Summer School 2026 is free of charge thanks to funding from the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA).
