Prof. Andrzej K. Koźmiński, the founder, long-time Rector, and Honorary President of our university, will receive an honorary doctorate from the University of Warsaw.

On January 19th, 2022, upon the motion of the Faculty of Management of the University of Warsaw, the Senate of the University of Warsaw unanimously adopted a resolution to award Professor Andrzej Kozminski the title of Doctor Honoris Causa.

- Professor Kozminski is one of the pillars of management sciences in Poland and Europe. As a Dean of the Faculty of Management at the University of Warsaw, he contributed to the change of management methods and art as well as to modern organization science. He greatly contributed to the transformation of the Polish economy - said Prof. Alojzy Z. Nowak, Rector of the University. - Prof. Kozminski, as one of the few, managed to implement the rules and principles of management, which he developed and taught at Polish and foreign universities, by successfully creating Kozminski University (source: uw.edu.pl - information in Polish)

The doctoral thesis supervisor is Prof. Beata Glinka, while the reviewers are Prof. Marian Gorynia from the Poznań University of Economics, Prof. Andrzej Rychard from the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology of the Polish Academy of Sciences, and Prof. Eric Cornuel from HEC Graduate School of Management.

The awarding ceremony will be held on February 16th, 2022.
