At the age of 88, Professor Robert A. Mundell, one of the most outstanding contemporary economists, winner of the Nobel Prize in economic sciences in 1999, author of the theory of optimal currency areas, considered the "godfather" of the common euro currency, has left us.
In the years 2001-2020 he was the Chairman of the KU Scientific Advisory Board of Transformation, Integration and Globalization Economic Research, TIGER. Professor Mundell was a guest at Kozminski University twice, presenting lectures within our Distinguished Lectures series.
We express our deepest sympathy to the Professor's Family and Friends.
