Prof. Dorota Dobija, Head of the Accounting Department of KU, has been elected to the Executive Committee of the European Academy of Management (EURAM) for another term. This time she will serve as Vice-President Responsible for Governance and Finances.
The European Academy of Management (EURAM) is a professional community of committed scientists and reflective practitioners in the field of management - people who are open-minded, inclusive and cross-culturally oriented. EURAM places a strong emphasis on multidisciplinary theoretical perspectives and methodological pluralism and promotes critical research into the historical and philosophical roots of management theory and practice. It aims to improve the quality of research, to increase its relevance to responsible and effective practices and to contribute to social and political discourse on governance.
The EURAM Executive Committee, where Prof. Dobija will serve another 3-year term (2020-2023), deals with day-to-day management and the development of EURAM policies and strategies. It usually meets four times a year.
Prof. Dorota Dobija
Professor of economic sciences, expert in accounting and finance as well as a certified accountant. She is the Head of the Accounting Department and Director of the Doctoral School at KU. A graduate of the Cracow University of Economics with a degree in Economic Cybernetics and Computer Science. Business coach. Fulbright Foundation grant holder. Member of the Accountant of the Year Award Committee. Worked as a visiting professor at many universities in the USA and Europe. Coordinator of many national and international research projects on intellectual capital measurement, corporate governance and financial and non-financial reporting. Winner of numerous scientific awards and distinctions. Author of many works in accounting, finance, intellectual capital management and corporate governance. Member of supervisory boards of financial sector institutions. Since 2017, she has been the Vice-President of the European Academy of Management.
