Prof. Dariusz Jemielniak, Head of the MINDS (Management in Networked and Digital Societies) Department, has become a correspondent member of the Polish Academy of Sciences.
Prof. Jemielniak is among the 51 newly elected correspondent members of the Polish Academy of Sciences. He is the youngest representative of social sciences and humanities and the third representative in the history of the academy to come from the field of management sciences
The average age of new correspondent members is 59 years. A quarter of the newly appointed members of the Polish Academy of Sciences are women. Selected researchers represent 9 research centers in Poland.
The second living representative of management in the Polish Academy of Sciences is Prof. Andrzej K. Koźmiński, President of Kozminski University. The Polish Academy of Sciences has a maximum of 350 members in all fields of science. The members of the Academy are elected by the General Assembly of the Polish Academy of Sciences from among scientists who stand out for their exceptional achievements and authority in the scientific community. Membership in the Polish Academy of Sciences is for life.
Prof. Jemielniak was a member of the Academy of Young Scientists of the Polish Academy of Sciences in 2012-2017. The most eminent young scientists have a five-year term of office.
