Introducing a new, unique, and co-financed program conducted in English! Health Economics and Big Data Analytics is a new Master's program in Economy, which will launch in the next academic year.
HEBDA is dual study program and is entirely conducted in English. The duality of education ensures that a large part of the classes are practical in nature and are conducted with employers from relevant fields.
Health economics is a new, dynamically developing discipline of economic sciences, which has practical application in the health care sector. It develops and provides methods and analytical tools for estimating the effectiveness, and value of medical procedures and technologies with the ultimate goal of optimal allocation of health care resources. A strong demand for health professionals is expected in the coming years. The study program was recognized as the best in the POWER 2019 competition of the National Centre for Research and Development. As a result, the HEBDA program received funding, which covers more than 70% of the tuition (students will pay only PLN 2900 per semester). The fee is the same for Polish and foreign students and applies throughout the entire course of studies.
The program is conducted in full-time mode, and its graduates will receive a Master's degree in economy. - The study program was prepared in consultation with employers who declared their willingness to participate in the program, by providing internships for our students. Hence our deep belief that it meets the expectations of the job market, where there is a high demand for health economics specialists, not only in Poland but also abroad - says Prof. Katarzyna Kolasa, head of the Division of Health Economics and Health Care Management at KU, and leader of the HEBDA program.
The number of places on HEBDA studies is limited, and 25 potential students with a bachelor's degree will start their studies in the upcoming academic year. In order to qualify, you must have an advanced level of English and take the online entrance exam at one of the three available dates: 23 May, 23 July and 23 September 2019. Candidates with the best results of this exam will be admitted to our University. The program may be offered by KU also in subsequent years, however, only those, who will begin their studies in the 2019/2020 academic year will benefit from the reduced tuition fee.
