Student Research Grants

STUDENT RESEARCH GRANTS AT KOZMINSKI UNIVERSITY – 5TH EDITION

  • Members of Kozminski University student organizations may apply for a STUDENT GRANT upon obtaining a positive recommendation from the organization’s academic supervisor.

    The funding amount awarded under a single grant is PLN 6,000.

    Grants are awarded until the funding pool allocated by the Rector is exhausted.

    The grant implementation period may not exceed 12 months.

The Committee evaluates grant applications in terms of both formal and substantive criteria.

The Committee may request the Applicant to correct or complete any formal deficiencies in the application.

The completed application must be submitted to the Committee within the deadline specified by the Chair of the Committee. Failure to submit the completed application within the designated timeframe will result in the application being left without consideration.

As part of the substantive evaluation, submitted research projects receive a score based on the extent to which they meet the following criteria:

  • measurable outcomes of the research project, its impact on the environment/community, and the method of dissemination of the project results (0–40 points);

  • the scope of the research project – regional, national, or international (0–20 points);

  • relevance of the research project to one of the following areas: sustainable development, digital transformation, or ethical leadership (0–10 points);

  • substantive and formal quality of the application (0–10 points);

  • adequacy of the budget in relation to the proposed expenses (0–20 points).

The Committee prepares a preliminary ranking list of the evaluated projects and submits it to the Vice-Rector for Student Affairs and Quality of Education. (Application evaluation period: no longer than 14 days from the date the complete applications are submitted to the Committee.)

The projects awarded grants are selected by the Vice-Rector for Student Affairs and Quality of Education from among the highest-rated projects.

Information about the competition results is sent via e-mail to the applicants, supervisors of student organizations, and the Student Government Board.

  • The implementation of the grant is carried out on the basis of the Rector’s decision awarding grant funding.

    Financial resources are made available after the decision has been issued, in accordance with the schedule proposed by the Applicant.

    A condition for implementing the grant is maintaining student status. When planning the research project, the completion date of the studies must be taken into account.

    The academic supervisor of the student organization is responsible for overseeing the proper implementation and correct financial settlement of the research project carried out under the granted funding.

    The project leader is obliged to inform the coordinator of the Student Scientific Movement about the progress of the grant implementation.

    The grant holder is required to settle the grant and submit a final project report to the Committee, approved by the academic supervisor of the student organization, within one month from the date of completion of the grant.

* The 5th edition of the Student Research Grants application process has been closed. We encourage you to apply in the 2026/2027 academic year.
