Rector's Statement - teaching mode until December 23rd, 2021.

01.12.2021

Dear Students,

All classes at Kozminski University will be conducted remotely until December 23rd, 2021. During that time the University’s campus will remain open, and you will have access to the Internet, library, rooms for individual work, while maintaining a full sanitary regime, including the mandatory wearing of masks over the mouth and nose.

I have decided to extend the remote teaching mode due to the higher need to take care of the health of our whole community and members of our families with whom you will want to spend this year's holidays. There is still a high number of COVID-19 cases (today we are seeing record high levels of infections), so the recommendations of the sanitary services cannot be ignored and larger gatherings of people should be avoided wherever possible.

At the same time I strongly emphasize that despite the full readiness of the University to conduct classes in the remote teaching mode, I treat this solution as a temporary one. Nothing can replace the direct relationship between students and lecturers and an open, valuable social life at the University. If the epidemic would slow down, we would like to return to on-site or hybrid classes starting in January. This largely depends on how we all approach minimizing the risk of contracting the disease. A decision will be announced on December 27th.

Thank you all for adjusting to studying remotely and maturely caring for your own safety and the safety of others by getting vaccinated.

I wish you all good health, serenity, and optimism on a day-to-day basis, and during the holidays a break from everyday worries and joy of being among your loved ones. May the New Year bring the long-awaited victory in the fight against the pandemic! Prof. Grzegorz Mazurek, Ph.D. Rector
