22.06.2022

The latest ranking of Polish higher education institutions announced on June 22nd confirms Kozminski University's top position among economic universities in Poland. Kozminski wins for the 23rd time in a row, i.e. since the beginning of the “Perspektywy” national ranking. This relatively young university, established 29 years ago, has a similar score (67.1) to the Warsaw School of Economics (68.5).

On the other hand, Kozminski University obtains the highest score in the country in the category of management education, which makes it a role model for all universities offering studies in this discipline. Kozminski University has shown that high-quality education can only be achieved when the university strongly marks its presence on the international market. Management, as well as Finance & Accounting programs at Kozminski University, are the only Polish studies that made it to the international ranking of the Financial Times, being ranked respectively 59th and 30th in the world.

For the last 10 years, Kozminski University has had the most important international business education accreditations: EQUIS, AACSB, and AMBA. It is also a leader in attracting students from all over the world, and among 10 thousand people studying here, there are almost 2 thousand international students from 80 countries. Kozminski's graduates hold high professional positions and have careers in international corporations, private companies, the non-governmental sector, and administration at various levels. They are increasingly visible in public life.

The fact that we are the best private university in Poland is a credit to all lecturers, administrative staff, and smart, motivated students. The careers of our graduates confirm that we provide good education. This, however, obliges us to constantly set new standards in many areas. E.g. in technology, we have successfully passed the stage of digital transformation by moving the university's resources to the cloud and equipped hybrid classrooms for remote teaching. Now we're implementing the goals of sustainable development and as the first Polish university we've been listed once again in the international Positive Impact Rating – says Prof. Grzegorz Mazurek, Rector of Kozminski University.

The criteria used by Perspektywy to evaluate universities are as following: prestige, graduates' earnings, scientific potential, innovativeness, scientific effectiveness, education conditions, and internationalization are included in 29 indicators.

This is one of the most extensive and transparent educational rankings in Europe. It is also one of the four that have an international quality certificate "IREG Approved". Its methodology was developed by the jury chaired by Professor Michał Kleiber, former president of the Polish Academy of Sciences - emphasizes Waldemar Siwiński, founder of the Perspektywy Foundation, creator of the Polish educational rankings.

In the ranking, there were 96 academic universities. The winner is Warsaw University, which is slightly ahead of Jagiellonian University. On the list of academic universities, Kozminski University was placed on the 16th position. Criteria related to research aspects dominate in the evaluation of academic universities, while the criteria related to the practical nature of the studies are more important in rankings of non-public and professional universities.

The most important recipients of the Ranking are high school graduates, who will receive their final exams in two weeks' time and start submitting documents for their dream universities. In the Ranking, they will find 79 fields of study. As many as 50 of those fields of study are best taught by just three universities - Warsaw University, Jagiellonian University, and Warsaw University of Technology, i.e. Poland's top universities.
