KU chess players at the TOP in the National Academic Championships!

17.05.2021

Chess players from our university defended for the third time in a row the title of National Academic Champions in this royal game during the championships in Katowice and Chorzów (14-16 May 2021).

The competition was attended by students representing 45 universities from across Poland.

Kozminski University players not only won the general classification, but were also the best in the team tournament and won two silver medals in individual tournaments, which went to Anna Kubicka and Igor Janik.

On the starting lists there were many chess grandmasters and international champions, including as many as twelve Polish representatives at the Academic World Championships in games for the mind, which Poland hosted in 2020.

We are proud of our players and also at the same time would like to congratulate them!
