SUPPORT POINT FOR REFUGEES

Additionally, we organized a support point for refugees from war-torn Ukraine. Our activities are carried out together with the Ukrainian House in Warsaw of the "Our Choice" Foundation.

Since February 25th, refugees have been receiving humanitarian and legal assistance. More than 1,300 volunteers have expressed their willingness to provide support. Their attitude is a great testimony of humanity and solidarity with Ukraine. Without them, the University and the Ukrainian House in Warsaw would not have been able to help 340 Ukrainian families, including 600 adults and nearly 500 children, in the first days and hours of the war.   The war-related humanitarian crisis requires involvement on a much larger scale. Poland and its citizens are helping Ukraine in any way they can. Our first all-volunteer intervention point has served its purpose.   Now refugees from Ukraine are being directed to professional support centers. Refugee service points are being set up there and our volunteers are being redirected there as well.   We are grateful to everyone who joined in the assistance. The support point at Kozminski University will remain open until Friday evening (March 4).
