Reconstruction of the external areas of the ALK Campus
Task No. 1 Title: Thermal modernisation of the building, and modernisation of heating and electrical installations in part of Building D.
Task No. 2 Title: Revitalisation and greening of public spaces on the Campus.
Task No. 3 Title: Improvement of the Campus energy efficiency and energy security.
Task No. 4 Title: Safe active mobility spaces around the Campus.
Project Objective:
Kozminski University is implementing a project involving the redevelopment of outdoor areas surrounding Building D and between Buildings D and A/C. The objective of the investment is to create a modern, well-organised, and user-friendly campus space that will serve both communication and everyday relaxation of the academic community.
The scope of works includes the reconstruction of pedestrian and shared pedestrian-vehicle surfaces, construction of new sidewalks, access routes and crossings, as well as landform elements, together with the development of slopes and green areas. As part of the project, new plantings will be introduced, lawns will be restored, and the space will be enhanced with street furniture such as seating, planters, and outdoor equipment.
The investment also includes the installation of external lighting, technical systems, a fountain, and solutions improving both the functionality and aesthetics of the area. A pedestal with the University logo and flag installations along Jagiellońska Street are also planned, emphasising the representative character of the campus.
As a result of the project, the surroundings of Building D will gain a new quality - becoming more accessible, aesthetically pleasing and comfortable for students, staff, and visitors of Kozminski University.
