About the program

Have you ever wanted to spend your vacation in a new and exciting place while learning something useful along the way? Kozminski University has the perfect option for you. Kozminski University’s Warsaw Summer School prepares international high school students for further studies in the fields of management and business sciences. The program includes almost 100 hours of intensive courses in marketing, finance, artificial intelligence and business, as well as Polish and English language classes. Courses are delivered by experienced Kozminski University lecturers and take place from Monday to Friday, from 9:00 to 14:00. Upon successful completion of the program, participants receive a certificate of completion. If you want to gain valuable international experience and take your first steps toward understanding business and management, the Warsaw Summer School for High School Students at Kozminski University is designed for you.

Weekends are free, so participants attend cultural activities :)

BUSINESS COURSES 

Understanding Financial Statements

  • The participants will be presented with the basic financial statements. The discussion will concern how to prepare and understand financial statements of companies and enterprises.

Management and AI

  • The Management and AI course combines cutting-edge artificial intelligence technologies with practical management strategies, preparing participants to make accurate, data-driven decisions supported by automation. Participants will learn how to effectively implement AI in daily operations and optimize business processes with a focus on the future.

The Latest Trends in Marketing

  • Participants will get to know the latest trends in marketing. From learning Why does James Bond wear Omega (product placement) over to RTM (Real Time Marketing) to why companies engage virtual influencers in their social media marketing.

Creative Problem Solving in a High-tech Environment

  • In a series of creative workshops we will work on the solutions to the real problems related to digital transformation and the high-tech business environment. We will focus on the application of AI-based tools in the companies. We will discuss whether robots are creative...

Renata Miastowska
Renata Miastowska

Teaching is her passion. Years of experience gained while working as a teacher let her learn how to understand people, meet their expectations and adjust trainings to their needs.

Since Renata’s studies  she has been involved in cultural differences – they have a huge impact on communication.  She is professionally involved not only in teaching foreign languages as English and Chinese and translating/interpreting, but I also provide trainings related to culture of business, different styles of negotiations in European and Asian countries and cultural differences in general.

Dr Krzysztof J. Chmielewski
PhD Krzysztof Chmielewski

Assistant professor at the Chair of Marketing at Kozminski University. Author of numerous works on brand management. His main scientific interests include brand management (branding), international marketing and issues on the borderline of marketing and finance. He worked at a German consulting firm zeb/rolfes.schierenbeck.associates and at the head office of Citibank Deutschland in Marketing Research / Market Intelligence.  He has extensive teaching experience gained at undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate levels in English, German and Polish. Vice Dean of the College of Management. 

MA Agnieszka Kowalczyk

Product & UX Expert with 12 years of experience in UX design, UX research and product & project management. Experienced in leading international UX projects, mentoring and supervising UX team members. Specialized in working on product strategy and business models based on insights how people use technology in their natural environment. For several years she has specialized in designing digital systems for the medical industry. She has worked for companies such as Lux Med, Demant, Inter Cars, Booksy, Facebook, Orlen, Carrefour, Bank BZWBK, Bank Millennium and ING Bank Śląski.

Research and teaching assistant at Kozminski University, Department of Management in Digital and Networked Societies. At Kozminski University she teaches: new product development, user experience design, organizational studies, critical thinking, intercultural management. 

Educated in finance and accounting, international economics (Warsaw School of Economics), anthropology (University of Warsaw) and service design (SWPS University). Writing her PhD thesis in Management in New Technologies at Kozminski University.

PhD Grygorii Kravchenko

Head of Finance and Accounting Programs at Kozminski University, boasting over 7 years of academic experience. He has taught extensively at esteemed international institutions such as SKEMA Business School (France, China), IESEG School of Management (France), HEBEI Finance University (China) and Universidad del Pacífico (Peru). His teaching portfolio spans a wide range of subjects, including Accounting, Managerial Accounting, Financial Accounting, Preparing Financial Statements, Financial Reporting, Financial Statement Analysis, Interpreting Financial Statements, Planning and Budgeting, Performance Management, Accounting Laboratory, IT Tools in Finance, Risk Management and Insurance Principles, Corporate Treasury Management, Management Control, Financial Analysis, and International Financial Reporting. As a researcher, he has contributed significantly to publications focusing on ESG, corporate governance and financial performance. Practical experience in auditing and insurance consultancy further enriches his expertise, acquired during his tenure at KPMG and UNIQA.

Miłosława Słaboń-Kędzierska

Polish philologist, with over 20 years of experience as a Polish as a Foreign Language lecturer, glottodidactic practitioner, and enthusiast. Apart from teaching, she is involved in Polish language certification, conducts classes on discourse forms for law students, she organizes various language projects, and collaborates with universities worldwide.

  • Complete your personal data and add all the required documents.
  • Submit your application until March 31st (early bird), July 10th (regular enrollment)
  • Wait until your application is reviewed – then you will be contacted by the program’s coordinator who will provide you with all the further details.
  • Pay for the participation in the program:
    • 500 EUR for participants who apply till March 31st
    • 600 EUR for participants who apply till July 10th
  • Choose courses, if you want to follow only specific ones.
  • the scan of your ID/passport 
  • 1 passport size picture in JPG file
  • Copy of medical insurance for time being in Poland

Before your arrival please send to [email protected] a copy of the medical insurance (in case of EU citizen - please submit European Health Insurance Card)   Mandatory – please send confirmation of payment for the participation in the program to [email protected]

Kozminski University does not have on-campus accommodation.  However we are able to provide offers of private student dormitories in Warsaw. 

KU does not offer guard service; therefore, KU does not take responsibility for the participants outside the university.  

In case, the participants prefer to stay on his/her own, one can use portals such as booking.com and air bnb to look for short-term rentals in Warsaw. Also, you can use the services of PepeHousing and discounts which we have arranged for participants of Warsaw Summer School.

HOW TO GET TO THE UNIVERSITY FROM THE CHOPIN AIRPORT?

The journey should take you approximately 30-45 min. ”. to the city center and 1h-1h 15 min. to Kozminski University. The best way to get from the Chopin Airport to the University is to take the bus 175 in front of the Airport Exit gates and get off at the “CENTRUM” stop. When you get off the bus, you will need to go underground to access the tram stop. Follow signs with trams of direction to Żoliborz.

Take tram 20 or 18 to ŻERAŃ FSO, get off at the stop “PIMOT”,  the university will be on your left side- a blue building.

Cancellation fee

The cancellation fee is 50% of the applicable fee if canceled within 5 days after registration. After the 5th day, no fees will be refundable.

Fees paid for the current summer cannot be transferred to the next year.
