During this course in the form of computer workshops, a method of comprehensive assessment of the company's financial condition will be presented. Participants will also receive ready-made models that will allow them to carry out analyzes themselves. On the example of data from various enterprises, basic issues related to the analysis of profitability, liquidity, debt and efficiency and operations will be addressed, but each of the areas of analysis will be appropriately expanded to include advanced issues. For example, the profitability assessment will include, among others the possibility of using different types of cost accounting, the analysis of efficiency will present different ways of calculating the same indicator, the debt analysis will cover the issue of financial leverage, and when examining liquidity, attention will be paid to the need to modify the data from the balance sheet, which does not actually reflect the degree of liquidity.

Target group 

The course is addressed to people interested in analyzing financial statements and obtaining information on the condition of the enterprise. It is especially useful for people who want to broaden their skills in order to, e.g. assess the condition of their own enterprise, as well as in the context of selecting business partners, analyzing credit applications and conducting fundamental analysis, e.g. company valuation. The same addressees of the training are both financial and credit analysts, but also e.g. members of management boards and supervisory boards who want to strengthen their own skills in controlling the enterprise and checking its proper functioning.


Marcin Ocieszak, PhD is a practitioner in the field of corporate finance with over 10 years of experience.

In the years 2010-2017 he was associated with ING Bank Slaski S.A. where he was responsible for business relations and providing financing to large enterprises from the Mazowieckie Voivodeship. At that time, he provided financing for nearly PLN 1 billion, both in the form of financing investment projects, commercial real estate and working capital financing. From 2014 I was the Manager of the Corporate Customer Department and was responsible for the portfolio of credit assets worth PLN 1.5 billion.

In 2007-2010 he worked at the Citi Handlowy bank where, among others in the Treasury Department I was a member of the team introducing the first Citi Online Trading currency exchange platform in Poland.

Currently Dr Ocieszak holds a PhD in economics and is employed at the Kozminski University in Warsaw since 2017. His research interests relate to the merger and acquisition market, financing commercial real estate and the video game production market.
