The latest ranking of Polish universities, announced on June 22, confirms the highest position of Kozminski University among private universities. Kozminski wins for the 23rd time in a row, which is since the beginning of the Perspektywy Ranking. This relatively young university, which has existed for 29 years, has a similar score (67.1) to Warsaw's School of Economics (SGH) (68.5), which is literally a hair ahead of it.
On the other hand, Kozminski receives the highest rating in the country in the category of management education, making it a role model for all universities offering studies in this discipline. KU has shown that high-quality education can only be achieved when a university makes a strong presence in the international market. Management and Finance and Accounting at Kozminski are the majors that were the only ones from Poland to be included in the international ranking of the Financial Times, achieving 59th and 30th place in the world, respectively.
KU has already held a set of international accreditations (EQUIS, AACSB and AMBA) for 10 years. It is also a leader in attracting students from all over the world, and among the 10,000 studying here are almost two thousand foreigners from 80 countries. Kozminski's graduates occupy high professional positions, pursuing careers in multinational corporations, private companies, the non-governmental sector and in administration at various levels. They are increasingly visible in public life.
The fact that we are the best private university in Poland is due to all the lecturers, administrative staff and smart, motivated students studying here. The careers of our graduates confirm that we educate well. This, however, obliges us to continually set new standards in many areas e.g., in technology. We successfully passed the digital transformation stage by moving the university's resources to the cloud and equipping hybrid classrooms for remote learning. Now we are implementing the goals of sustainable development, and as the first Polish university we have once again made it to the international list of positive impact universities, says Prof. Grzegorz Mazurek, rector of Kozminski University.
Among the criteria for evaluation of universities by Perspektywy are prestige, earnings of graduates, scientific potential, innovation, scientific efficiency, educational conditions and internationalization included in 29 indicators.
It is one of the most extensive and transparent educational rankings in Europe. It is also one of the four that have the international quality certificate "IREG Approved." Its methodology was developed by a chapter chaired by Professor Michał Kleiber, former president of the Polish Academy of Sciences, stresses Waldemar Siwiński, founder of the Perspektywy Foundation, creator of Polish educational rankings.
The ranking included 96 academic universities. The winner is University of Warsaw, which is slightly ahead of Jagiellonian University. In the list of academic universities, Kozminski University was ranked 16th. The evaluation of academic universities is dominated by criteria related to research aspects, while in the rankings of non-public and professional universities, criteria related to the practical nature of studies are more important.
The most important recipients of the Ranking are high school graduates, who will receive their high school diplomas in two weeks and proceed to submit documents for their dream studies. They will find 79 majors in the Ranking. As many as 50 of these majors are best taught by just three universities - University of Warsaw, Jagiellonian University, and Warsaw University of Technology, i.e. the top Polish academic institutions.
