ORLEN Foundation and the “Bona Fide” Scholarship Program

The ORLEN Foundation was established in 2001 by PKN ORLEN to support social, educational, health, cultural, and environmental initiatives. The Foundation engages in various areas of activity, supporting young people, non-governmental organizations, and projects that contribute to community development and environmental protection.

 

The Foundation’s Activities

The "Bona Fide" Scholarship Program

The "Bona Fide" Scholarship Program (from Latin bona fide, meaning “in good faith”) is one of the key initiatives of the ORLEN Foundation. Its goal is to support outstanding Polish students who seek to study at the world’s top universities, ranked among the top 50 in the Academic Ranking of World Universities (Shanghai Ranking).

Objectives of the "Bona Fide" Program

  • Covering tuition fees at prestigious foreign universities.
  • Supporting education at leading universities to develop skills that will later contribute to Poland’s growth.
  • After completing their studies, scholarship recipients commit to working for Poland—in the public sector, state-owned companies, or international branches of Polish institutions.

Past Scholarship Recipients

So far, the ORLEN Foundation has supported 75 young individuals who have studied at renowned universities such as:

  • The University of Edinburgh
  • The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE)
  • The University of Oxford
  • Harvard University
  • Stanford University

Zasady ogólne programu „Bona Fide”

Stypendium „Bona Fide” pokrywa koszty czesnego na zagranicznych uczelniach.

Wnioskodawcy muszą ubiegać się o miejsce na jednym z uniwersytetów w czołowej pięćdziesiątce Akademickiego Rankingu Uniwersytetów Świata.

Fundacja przyznaje stypendia na podstawie decyzji komisji stypendialnej.

Stypendyści zobowiązują się do pracy na rzecz Polski po ukończeniu studiów.

Program stypendialny „Bona Fide” oraz inne działania Fundacji ORLEN stanowią ważny element wspierania młodych talentów i inicjatyw mających na celu rozwój edukacji, kultury oraz społeczności lokalnych, a także ochronę środowiska naturalnego. Fundacja ORLEN dąży do kreowania nowych możliwości i wspierania młodych ludzi, którzy w przyszłości będą w stanie przyczynić się do rozwoju Polski i świata.
