Obligatory Internships

During your student internship, you can gain your first professional experience.

In the undergraduate and unified Master’s programs (Law), there are mandatory internships. For students who began their studies up to the 2024/2025 academic year, in the undergraduate program the internship must be completed between the 4th and 6th semester, and in the case of Law students between the 6th and 10th semester. For students who begin their studies in the 2025/2026 and consecutive academic years, in the undergraduate program the internship must be completed in the 6th semester (with the Dean’s consent, from the 4th semester). In the Law program, from the 6th to the 10th semester, and in the graduate program in the 4th seme4ster of study (with the Dean’s consent, after the 1st semester). There is no professional internship included in the curriculum of the following graduate programs: Taxes and Tax Advisory, Artificial Intelligence Law, and Law in Business Management.

To settle the internship, students must complete the tasks specified in the internship program and achieve the expected learning outcomes for student internships (available after logging into the Knowledge Base).

We recommend securing an internship position early to ensure it aligns with your field of study and provides valuable experience. Career and Student Development Office can assist you in finding internships.

Internships must be submitted online and approved in the my.kozminski.edu.pl system before the thesis defense.

2. How to find a place for an internship

  • Explore internship and job offers published by employers/organizers on the ALK Career Service: Link
  • Check the list of companies and institutions that have signed framework agreements with the University for organizing mandatory student internships. These organizations may offer internships based on their recruitment needs: - Link
  • Look for job and internship offers on the websites of selected employers/organizers, including public or private institutions and job portals such as pracuj.pl, glassdoor.com.

3. Internship Application and Agreement

If the internship organizer requires a application or agreement between the University and the organization, the student should generate these documents in the system (“Internship Application and Agreement”).

Once the document is generated, please contact the Career Development & Cooperation with the Environment Office to obtain the signature of the Rector’s proxy for the student internships ([email protected]).

We recommend preparing these documents in advance.

Important Notes:

  • The application and agreement do not serve as proof of internship completion.
  • Every student is covered by accident insurance (NNW) during the internship (confirmation available upon request).

4. Internship Completion and Required Documents

Ways to document internship completion:

  • Standard Internship: Application or agreement (if required).
  • Employment: Copy of the employment contract or employment confirmation.
  • Own Business Activity: CEIDG/KRS or relevant database registration in other countries and an invoice copy.

The final document confirming internship completion is the internship report, which must be submitted online via my.kozminski.edu.pl.
