Conferences - business

Conferences

Our university not only organises scientific conferences but is also involved in many projects carried out in collaboration with a number of enterprises and companies. This way, we build an international platform for the exchange of information and experience between the academic community and the business world – between theoreticians and practitioners.

We want our business conferences to always address current social and economic issues and to offer extensive knowledge in various fields – such as law, economics, finance, management, psychology, and sociology. Each year we organise several dozen events addressing issues from the above disciplines, with a significant part of them being regular events.

In recent years, our university has organised (or co-organised) the following international projects (among others):

ALKSchool

The first day of the conference was World Day, during which a series of debates took place, featuring many prominent economists from several countries, who discussed such topics as globalisation, the success of China’s economy, the Eurozone, and the new pragmatism theory formulated by Professor Grzegorz W. Kołodko. The second day of the conference was Polish Day. Top Polish economists discussed the most important challenges in the domains of contemporary economics and politics, the conditions and prospects for the global economy, the condition and evolution of the European Union, and the threats and opportunities faced by the Polish economy. The two days of the conference brought together 416 participants in total.

The International Society of Business, Economics and Ethics conference, organised for the first time in Poland. ISBEE has been organising the World Congress events since 1996. It is an organisation bringing together all the world centres of business ethics. The congresses are held every four years in selected cities located on different continents.

Organising the Congress in Warsaw had an important meaning, both globally and regionally – not only for the dissemination of the ethical dimension of business activity among academics, researchers, and professionals from the best companies operating in Poland, the media, and public administration, but also for the promotion of Warsaw and Poland as a European leader, seriously committed to business ethics. The Congress was attended by 280 people from all over the world.
