Department of Banking, Insurance and Risk

The Department specializes in research and teaching in ​​banking, insurance, and risk, while addressing the issues of broadly understood financial markets. 

Most of its staff combine high research competences based on quantitative methods with many years of professional practice in financial institutions. 

The Department cooperates with many industry organizations, such as the Polish Bank Association, co-organizing regular conferences enabling the exchange of knowledge between the spheres of science and practice. Thanks to this, the Department can offer students the supervision of diploma theses that fully correlate with the current challenges of the market.
