From 16 to 22 February 2026, Kozminski University welcomed students arriving under international exchange and double degree programmes during the dynamic and eventful Welcome Week Spring 2026. Organised by the International Relations Office in cooperation with the Welcome Point, the programme combined orientation meetings, cultural activities, and integration events, helping participants begin their studies smoothly and find their place within the university community.
Welcome Week began on Monday, 16 February, with an organisational meeting during which students collected their student ID cards and met the International Relations Office team as well as Welcome Point volunteers. The first day ended with an integration outing, where participants took part in a friendly bowling competition and had an opportunity to get to know one another better.
On Tuesday, students discovered Warsaw through a city game and a sightseeing tour starting at the Royal Castle in the Old Town. In the evening, another integration event took place, fostering teamwork, good fun, and relationship-building.
Wednesday was dedicated to getting to know the university better. During the official welcome session, Dr Valentyna Guminska, Director of the International Relations Office, welcomed the participants and presented the most important information about studying at Kozminski University. Students also had an opportunity to learn more about key university initiatives and support services.
The EUonAIR project was presented by Magdalena Gawrońska, the activities and opportunities offered by the Careers Office were introduced by Dr Marta Idasz-Balina, and Adrian Traczyk spoke about the individual support provided by the Welcome Point as well as the many events prepared for international students. The programme also included a presentation of student scientific clubs and student organisations delivered by their representatives. The day was complemented by campus tours led by Welcome Point volunteers and an integration painting workshop.
The following days were marked by cultural visits and social gatherings. Participants visited, among others, the Museum of Warsaw and the National Bank of Poland Money Centre, and also took part in a wellbeing session organised by the Wellbeing Office as well as a private Welcome Week Party. Additional events and meetings organised in different parts of Warsaw were also prepared for the students.
The finale of Welcome Week took place on Sunday, 22 February, during the official closing event held at Kozminski University and prepared by Welcome Point volunteers. During the meeting, the winners of competitions organised throughout the week were announced and prizes were awarded. Afterwards, participants gathered for a shared meal, celebrating a successful and memorable week.
