"We must fight for universities and academic world, to be a lighthouse and foundation of social development. We sail with the motto: 'A new school for a new world'!" – said Prof. Grzegorz Mazurek, Rector of Kozminski University, during the inauguration.

"For me – as the Rector – this is very special ceremony because of at least three reasons. Firstly, because we are beginning this academic year with a new Rector-Dean Team, which will be assisting me in managing the University for the next 4 years. I am counting on you very much. Secondly, our University has undergone a generational change. The founding fathers of the University – Prof. Andrzej Koźmiński and Prof. Witold Bielecki – decided to give the management of the University into new hands, which is an additional change for us all. Fortunately, the Professors share their experience and authority through active participation in the university’s Board of Trustees. Thirdly, finally, the times are truly unique and extremely demanding for all of us. Grabbing the helm of this magnificent ship with such high waves, is quite a challenge" – said Prof. Grzegorz Mazurek in the beginning of his inauguration speech.   See the full speech here.
