The scholars from Kozminski University are honored to actively participate in the 85th annual meeting of the Academy of Management (AOM), which will take place in 2025 in Copenhagen. This is one of the most prestigious events in the world of management sciences, attracting leading researchers and practitioners from around the globe. For Kozminski University, it is an excellent opportunity to present research findings in key areas such as management, leadership, diversity, and inclusivity, while also confirming the high quality of the university's research output.
Among the invited speakers are four distinguished researchers from the university, who will have the chance to share their discoveries with the global academic community. Zuzanna Staniszewska, Ph.D., will present two important topics on management and leadership. The first topic addresses the paradox of feminist ethics of care, while the second explores the experiences of neurodivergent women in the workplace and their challenges regarding equality.
Dr Anna M. Górska will present a paper co-authored with Nina Kotula, a PhD candidate at the University, which has been nominated for an award in the Critical Management Studies division. The paper explores how seemingly equal rules in Polish academia – particularly in the formation of research teams – can, in practice, lead to unequal treatment and reinforce a hidden system of privilege. Dr Górska will also moderate a discussion panel dedicated to qualitative research.
Prof. Izabela Koładkiewicz will deliver a presentation based on a co-authored article with Prof. Łukasz Kozłowski and Dr. Marta Wojtyra - Perlejewska on management practices in family businesses, focusing on how family ties influence the resilience of companies during crises. This is a particularly relevant topic in the context of the challenges faced by family businesses in an ever-changing business environment.
Prof. Dominika Latusek-Jurczak will present a paper co-authored with Dr. Anna Pikos and Prof. Oliver Schilke. She will address the phenomenon of excessive trust in inter-organizational relationships, highlighting situations where trust in business partners may exceed the actual results of cooperation, leading to suboptimal management decisions.
The participation of Kozminski University’s scholars in such a prestigious event is an important step in the international exchange of knowledge and experiences. The university is actively shaping the future of management sciences on the global stage.
During the event, a paper dedicated to exploring the role of corporate governance in the green transition will also be presented. The co-authors of this paper are Prof. Dorota Dobija, Dr. Grygorii Kravchenko, and Prof. Łukasz Kozlowski.
See you in Copenhagen!
