This past weekend, Warsaw welcomed the country’s top student fencers for the Polish Academic Championships. Among the competitors was Kozminski University’s representative, Krzysztof Kajor, who earned the silver medal in the men’s sabre category. His success underscores the high level of athletic performance he continues to combine with his academic journey at Kozminski.

In a thrilling final, Krzysztof faced Piotr Szczepanik from the Warsaw University of Technology, ultimately finishing the bout 9:15. Despite the final score, his path to the championship match was marked by determination, technical excellence, and consistency – values that resonate equally in sport and education. Once again, Kozminski students have demonstrated that academic careers and athletic passions can thrive side by side.

“Krzysztof is not only a talented athlete but also a dedicated student who manages his time and energy with remarkable discipline. We are proud to support young individuals who pursue excellence and development in every aspect of their lives,” said Anna Perzyńska, Sports Manager at Kozminski University.

This year’s competition brought together nearly 140 students from 38 universities, who competed across three disciplines: épée, foil, and sabre. The event carried emotional significance as well – participants observed a moment of silence in honor of the recent tragic incident at the University of Warsaw campus.

The Kozminski University community warmly congratulates Krzysztof on this outstanding achievement and wishes him continued success.
