Rector's Statement - remote and hybrid teaching modes

09.02.2022

Dear Students,

Considering the current, still very serious, epidemic situation and out of concern for the safety of our community we are implementing the remote teaching mode on the Bachelor and Master programs from February 17th to February 27th 2022.  The remote teaching mode (via MS Teams platform) will be used for the delivery of classes as well as for didactic consultations and diploma seminars.

The final course assignments and examinations during the final retake session for the winter semester 2021/22 will also be conducted remotely using electronic means of communication.

At the same time, I would like to inform you that the KU campus will operate under a sanitary regime enabling the use of the library and computer rooms.

Starting from February 28th, 2022, classes on the Bachelor and Master programs will be conducted in a hybrid teaching mode - allowing students to participate in classes on-site at the university or remotely (via the MS Teams platform). Remote participation in classes is only possible in justified cases if the student is unable to attend them at the university campus. The teaching mode in the 2021/2022 summer semester will be adapted to the current pandemic situation.

Classes that have been scheduled for distance learning in the summer semester  (a specific day of the week for full-time students, or designated sessions for part-time students) will still be conducted in the remote teaching mode in accordance with the accepted schedule.

Information on the teaching mode will be given in the course schedule - via the Virtual University. Prof. Grzegorz Mazurek, Ph.D. Rector
