Professor Witold T. Bielecki, Chair of the Board of Trustees at Kozminski University and former Rector of the institution, has been appointed to the newly elected General Council of the Lewiatan Confederation – one of Poland’s leading organizations representing the interests of employers.
The recently concluded elections for the 2025–2028 term resulted in the selection of a 33-member General Council, which subsequently appointed the organization’s new Management Board. Professor Bielecki’s inclusion in this body reflects long-standing recognition of his commitment to the development of management education, entrepreneurship, and the advancement of dialogue between academia and business.
Prof. Bielecki currently heads the Department of Quantitative Methods and Information Technology at Kozminski University. He is the author of three books and over 80 scientific publications. He co-developed two renowned simulation-based management games – MANAGER and ADMINIST – as well as multimedia training tools for entrepreneurs. He has lectured at universities in the United States, the United Kingdom, and across Central and Eastern Europe. He is also a co-founder and lecturer in the Executive MBA program in Minsk (IPM BY).
Prof. Bielecki previously served as Chair of the Conference of Rectors of Non-Public Academic Universities in Poland, held board positions within the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD) and Euro*MBA, and currently serves on the Board of CEEMAN and the Supervisory Board of the Polish Educational Union. He has taken part in accreditation processes for AACSB, EQUIS, IQA, and IREG Observatory.
His research interests include information technology, simulation-based management, operational management, decision support systems, and entrepreneurship in virtual environments. He is also a strong advocate for academic sport and, in 2019, was named runner-up in the Polish Academic Championships in contract bridge (pairs).
