Prof. Witold Bielecki appointed Chair of the Supervisory Board of the Polish Educational Union

Prof. Witold Bielecki – former Rector of Kozminski University (2011–2020) and currently Chair of the University’s Board of Trustees – has been appointed Chair of the Supervisory Board of the Polish Educational Union. The decision was made during the General Assembly of the Polish Educational Union, which reviewed the organization’s activities in the previous term and set strategic priorities for the coming years.

The Polish Educational Union is an organization that brings together employers operating in the education and science sectors, as well as those working to support these areas. Its members include schools, higher education institutions, their faculties and departments, research institutes, publishing houses, educational program developers, training companies, and other entities committed to advancing education and science.

The Union’s mission is to shape high standards and improve the quality of Polish education and science – both from an organizational and legislative perspective. It undertakes initiatives to enhance teaching, research, and educational quality, while also influencing the shape of social, educational, and economic policy in Poland. It is a member of the Lewiatan Confederation and the European Federation of Education Employers (EFEE). In 2021, the Union established the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Research.

Prof. Witold Bielecki is a recognized authority in management and information science, and an expert in simulation games, entrepreneurship, and decision modeling. He is the author of three books and over 80 academic articles, has led international projects, lectured at universities in the US and the UK, and is a member of prestigious organizations and accreditation bodies such as AACSB, EQUIS, IQA, and IREG. For years, he has been actively involved in the development of management education in Central and Eastern Europe.
