The President of the Republic of Poland presented nomination acts to academic teachers as well as to employees of science and the arts. Among those honored was Prof. Łukasz Gruszczyński, who received the title of Professor of Social Sciences in the discipline of Legal Sciences.
Prof. Łukasz Gruszczyński is the Head of the Department of International Law and European Union Law at Kozminski University. He is a distinguished specialist in the field of international economic law and public health protection. He is actively engaged in research, teaching, and academic editing. His academic achievements include numerous publications and international cooperation, having a real impact on the development of future generations of international lawyers.
He obtained his Ph.D. at the European University Institute in Florence (2008) and his post-doctoral habilitation at the Institute of Legal Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences (2016). He has completed numerous research fellowships, including at the University of Cambridge, the University of Michigan, Pázmány Péter Catholic University, and the National University of Public Service in Budapest.
He is the recipient of six NCN (National Science Centre) grants. He is currently carrying out a research project under the PRELUDIUM BIS program, concerning foreign investment control. He collaborates permanently with the Institute of Legal Studies at ELTE University and serves as managing editor of the English-language yearbook Polish Yearbook of International Law.
