On 18th December during a special ceremony in Beijing, the highest-ranking Chinese awards for outstanding scientific, literary and publishing achievements were presented. Among the laureates is the Director of TIGER, Professor Grzegorz W. Kołodko.
Professor Kołodko who was awarded the Special China Book Award for "facilitating the exchange and mutual appreciation of Chinese and foreign civilizations", in particular for the book entitled "Zhong guo neng fou zheng jiu shi jie?" (Encyclopedia of China Publishing House, Beijing 2020). Due to travel restrictions caused by the coronavirus pandemic, the trophy on behalf of Professor Kolodko was received by H.E. Wojciech Zajączkowski, the Polish ambassador to China.
