Prof. Bogdan Księżopolski, Head of the Department of Cybersecurity at Kozminski University, has been officially appointed as a member of the Ministry of National Education’s National Team of Sectoral Consultants for Professions and Qualifications Relevant to Vocational Education, in the professional field of Telecommunications. He will participate in the team’s work as an expert nominated by the Lewiatan Confederation, where he represents the university.
The Ministry of National Education’s national team of sectoral consultants supports the minister responsible for education in activities related to the development of vocational education. Its tasks include forecasting demand for professions in the short and long term, consulting on curriculum changes, preparing recommendations on sectoral qualifications, identifying future skills, and supporting the improvement of vocational examination systems and dual education.
Prof. Księżopolski’s involvement in the team’s work will be particularly important in the context of rapid changes taking place in the technology sector. The Ministry’s sectoral meetings concerning IT-related areas are conducted within three professional fields: IT and Programming, Electronic Communications, and Telecommunications. These areas are crucial for the development of a modern economy, digital infrastructure and national security.
One example of changes in vocational education is the introduction of a new profession: cybersecurity technician. This responds to the growing demand on the labour market for specialists responsible for protecting systems, telecommunications networks and data. Education in this profession will be available in technical secondary schools from the 2026/2027 school year.
Prof. Księżopolski’s appointment confirms the role of Kozminski University as an institution actively involved in the debate on future skills, cybersecurity and digital transformation. Prof. Księżopolski is Head of the Department of Cybersecurity at Kozminski University and director of the university’s IT studies. He specialises in information systems security, cryptography and applications of artificial intelligence. He is also the founder of the educational startup CyberSkiller.
