The President of the Republic of Poland has awarded Prof. Aleksandra Przegalińska of Kozminski University the title of Professor of Social Sciences in the discipline of management and quality sciences. This is one of the most important distinctions in an academic career, recognizing significant scholarly, teaching and organizational achievements. The title of Professor acknowledges many years of research work and contribution to the development of the social sciences.
Prof. Aleksandra Przegalińska is affiliated with the Department of Management in Networked and Digital Societies at Kozminski University. She is a philosopher and researcher specializing in the development of new technologies, especially green and sustainable technologies, humanoid artificial intelligence, social robots and wearable technologies.
She has been affiliated, among others, with Columbia University and the MIT Center for Collective Intelligence, where she served as a visiting scholar and research fellow. In 2021, she received the Senior Research Fellow American Institute for Economic Research Fellowship. She also collaborates with Harvard University.
AI, management and the impact of technology on organizations
At Kozminski University, Prof. Przegalińska serves as Vice-Rector for Innovation and AI. Her research focuses on the relationship between humans and artificial intelligence, as well as the impact of new technologies on the labor market, education and decision-making processes. The University also emphasizes her commitment to developing international cooperation, including projects carried out with Harvard University.
Prof. Przegalińska heads Human Race – the Center for Research on Human-Machine Interaction, whose activities include, among others, organizing conferences, seminars and workshops, cooperating with research centers in Poland and abroad, and developing relations with the technology business sector.
Together with Prof. Izabela Grabowska, Prof. Aleksandra Przegalińska coordinates the international EUonAIR project. The initiative brings together universities and partners from across Europe, supporting the implementation of modern AI-based solutions in higher education, the development of the Smart UniverCities concept and educational mobility, including return mobility. EUonAIR is part of the community of 65 European Universities and the FOREU4ALL platform, which strengthens international academic cooperation. The project co-creates the future of education in the age of artificial intelligence.
International recognition and expert activity
In recent years, Prof. Przegalińska has received numerous distinctions for her academic, expert and science communication activities. In 2026, she was appointed to the Council for the Future, established by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Poland, as one of the few representatives of the academic community.
She also received the “Stars of Internationalization 2026” Award in the Rising Star category for her contribution to the internationalization of Polish universities, with particular emphasis on educational and research projects based on artificial intelligence.
In 2025, she was named AI Visionary of the Year.
The distinction awarded to Prof. Aleksandra Przegalińska strengthens the position of Kozminski University as an institution conducting research on management, artificial intelligence, digital transformation and human-technology relations.
