Kozminski University students and staff took part in the Praski Night Half Marathon and the accompanying Praska 5K Run. The university returned as an academic partner, with members of its community also volunteering and welcoming participants to the university’s event areas.
This year’s event attracted a record number of registrations: nearly 18,000 people signed up for the two races, the highest total in its history. Participants could choose between a 5 km race and the half marathon distance of 21.0975 km. Kozminski runners competed in both.

As a pacemaker, he led a group targeting a 1:30 finish, helping runners maintain their pace and manage their effort throughout the race. He crossed the finish line with a chip time of 1:29:53.
In the Praska 5K Run, Łukasz Skoczek recorded a time of 23:56, while Anastasiya Mezina finished in 28:13.
Partnership in practice
Members of the Kozminski community helped run this year’s event as volunteers and hosts in the university’s event areas. They supported runners and looked after spaces where participants and spectators could relax and meet.
The academic partnership with the Praski Night Half Marathon forms part of the university’s wider engagement with life in Poland’s capital. Through “Kozminski for Warsaw”, the university works with schools and municipal institutions, shares knowledge with residents and supports sporting initiatives such as the Praski Night Half Marathon.
