Monika Markowska, a student of the 7th edition of the Business Process Automation postgraduate programme at Kozminski University, won 1st place in the Agent Pageant hackathon organised by UiPath Community Poland. The final of the competition took place during the UiPath FUSION Warsaw conference, which brought together experts, practitioners, and automation leaders in Warsaw on 19 March 2026.
This success demonstrates the high level represented by Kozminski University’s postgraduate students and how effectively they can translate the knowledge gained during their studies into practical and innovative solutions. Monika Markowska won in the “Agent for Everyone” category, presenting a project that addressed the real needs of payroll teams and showed how agentic automation can support the day-to-day work of organisations.
As the winner herself emphasises, the outcome was preceded by hours of analysis, planning, creating synthetic data and documents, iterative work on prompts, building tools for the agent, testing the solution, and preparing the documentation. Her victory is even more valuable because it grew out of persistence, courage and readiness to enter a new professional field.
The event also featured Elwira Justyna Pyk, a lecturer at Kozminski University, who was appointed by UiPath to the hackathon jury. She evaluated the projects alongside recognised experts.
The hackathon final itself was part of the UiPath FUSION Warsaw programme. The organisers announced it as a competition in which an expert jury would select the best solution from among the finalists, while conference participants would also be able to choose their favourite in a public vote.
