Olha Zadorozhna, PhD from the Department of Economic Empirical Analysis at Kozminski University has begun leading a research project funded by the Horizon Europe 2024 program. The project, titled "Valuing Public Goods in a Populist World: A Comparative Analysis of Network Dynamics and Societal Outcomes", focuses on analyzing the impact of the rule of law and populism on the distribution of public goods. The total funding for the project amounts to 3 million EUR, of which Kozminski University has been granted 968,294 PLN.

Zadorozhna is heading the Polish team of researchers. The project also involves prestigious institutions such as Copenhagen Business School, the University of Innsbruck, and Luiss University, as well as partners from the USA, New Zealand, and Turkey. Together, they will investigate how network dynamics influence social interactions and how these can contribute to the creation of more effective public policies. The research aims to understand the phenomenon of "networked populism" and its global consequences.

The findings from this project are expected to provide both academic and practical benefits, influencing the shaping of public policy in response to the global challenges posed by populism. The project is expected to span several years, ensuring sufficient time for comprehensive analysis and knowledge exchange among international partners.
